[Not a Poll] How many Level 60 toons do you have?

Like the title says. How many do you have? How many do you plan on getting? How did you get them to Level 60?

I'm finishing up on my 6th level 60 toon today. I got my first before they doubled the XP requirement while nerfing XP everywhere and focusing it all on Argala and Gerren. I did so quickly after the release of Delta Rising mostly by doing Kobali ground over and over. The grind wasn't too bad.

Toon #2 was done during the Argala/Gerren era. After doing this horrible mind-numbing grind, I decided to take a break from the game. I only fully came back after the previous scum bag lead was rotated out.

Upon hearing that there was an XP rebalance, I decided to focus on my 3rd toon. Since then I've gotten my 3rd, 4th, and 5th toons up to 60 mostly by rotating patrols and PVE's that I ENJOY doing. The game is much more fun right now than it was during the Argala/Gerren era. I still have my 6th toon to finish up later today before starting on my 7th toon which happens to be my DR.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

Three, out of 20. Four will permanently go, so it is three out of 16. I cycle through my characters and if one is into a part of the game I like to do, I play those mission. This ends with in the best case gaining a level, but in most cases the character goes on hold, since it hasn't the right level for the following missions. So, I doff, do battle zones, R&D, an event. I am not going to grind to level up. It does feel that I am more and more locked out of the game.

The specialization threes? I foresee that non of my characters will ever complete one, perhaps commando. It is not important for me, but again, there is game content that has no purpose for me.

I've got 18 out of 22 characters to level 60. All of them i simply leveled up by doing Doff Missions. I log into each character once a day and collect the R&D and Doff missions, then set up new R&D Research Projects and kick off a full set of new Doff Missions.

The 4 remaining characters are all either level 57 or 58. These 4 are all Delta's which is why they are not yet level 60.

My main character is really the only one that I strongly focus on. He only requires 14 more Spec points to have all of the Specializations 100% finished.

I have 6 characters, my original Fed, KDF, and Rom got to 60 about 4 weeks into DR. I got my KDF delta recruit to 60 about a month ago, I should be getting my DR Fed and Rom up as well (they are 30 or 40 now) bu I'm having too much fun with my DR KDF now.

9 Level 60 characters. 7 to go. Or 6? I am still not sure if I keep my Lethean Tac... I feel a bit uninspired with him, and I got a Delta Recruit KDF Tac.

2 at 60. 2 more on their way (one 59 but I played her very little recently; and one 55 and dragging him to 58 to be able to get Iconians marks on Kobali Prime). I have two more but they're abandoned (level ~20 both) and to be deleted when/if I need more toon spots.

So 2 out of 6, to become 4 out of 6.

3 characters at lvl 60. My main, KDF version of my main & Delta Recruit; the last mentioned nowadays mostly only used as craft; for fun and profit.

I have 1 lvl 60 character out of 16. Only my main KDF Klingon is lvl 60 (slightly above with spec points), my primary Fed is lvl 58 and my only Rom is lvl 57. Those are the only chars I intend to play somewhat "seriously" when the time permits.

What can I say, Grind Rising really killed my will and motivation to play alts and progress multiple characters. The lack of content plus the snail-pace XP grinding, the excessive costs of upgrading that incorporates RNG, the what I personally consider to be steep prices for T6 ships, the game's techincal problems and the fact the queues were almost completely empty for quite a while didn't help either. Combine that with the fact that I closed my wallet since the Season 8 fiasco and the dilithium exchange rates have severely risen since Grind Rising, plus the A-Bomb D'Angelo dropped on this game by removing the exploration clusters and the hourly events (parts of the game I enjoyed very much) amongst other things and you'll see where I come from - from my perspective at least.
So yeah, only my main Klingon character - my first KDF character to go through a complete leveling experience on the KDF side created during LoR has reached lvl 60 so far.

I play games for fun, to relax and unwind after a day at work, very casually and to immerse myself in a different environment for a while. Playing STO lately feels too much like being railroaded into a continous repetitive grind for my taste, therefore my playtime has severely decreased since DR. Not to mention the numerous technical issues of late that often really kill the will to continue playing at a given time. That's why I now have only 1 lvl 60 character out of 16 - 10 of which were activelly played and progressed lvl 50 chars pre DR.

4 of 41 are Level 60. 31 are Level 50+. The last 6 are Deltas that are still below Level 15. I concentrate play on those 4 main toons, although only 1 has played through all episodes so far. I leveled him to 60 with a single pass through the Delta Rising story arc and some DOFFing. The rest have leveled mostly through DOFFing, although I'll occasionally take to time to play some episodes with them just to advance the story arc for them.

1 .. Can't be bothered grinding up more than that... there's no point.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

1 at Lv60. I have plans for 3 at Lv60. Which is one from each faction. I have 4 lower levels that may not never make it. And one of those is the Delta Recruit.

3 out of 7 characters will be Lv60 when done as of now. The Leveling of Delta Rising really killed my lower 4 characters. Since its takes me months to get to Lv60 with only a few hours per week playing. Usually I play the lower characters when I get almost caught up with current content.

2 out of 8, another at 59 and will hit 60 from DOFFing sometime soon, the other 5 are 52/53 from DOFFing before the XP nerf, not putting any effort into them since they no longer have end-game gear and they are only useful for replaying the single-player episode missions that I have already played 2-3 times

2 so far. Might have 3 or 4 eventually.

2 of 16 are 60, and i dont think i will ever use those alts again for anything beyond crafting omega upgrades.
i used to actually use them as near-mains. they had lobi outfits and consoles, a couple had lockbox ships, they all had their rep maxed at t5, etc. but... well, you all know exactly what happened hey

3 of 10 are 60 (and are all Romulan). 2 are 55 (one Fed Alien, one Orion). 1 is 54 (Vulcan), and the others range from 35-4x (I forget exactly, but I think she's 45; these are all Romulan but one, who is Orion, and that's the 4x one).

2 out of 8. One Fed, one KDF. It was brutal getting there so I haven't bothered with the rest.

My main is 60, my Delta Recruit is 55. I don't really play on the others, except during events.

I have 15 toons total. 4 of them I have retired. 3 of them are deltas not quite at 60, +1 romulan not at 60.
So I have 7 of 15 toons at 60. Im not going to say it was FUN or Easy, however, since I am taking my time on my deltas running through the cardi stories now it is a bit more enjoyable. Toons should be very well equipped by the time I hit the Delta Grind. will just take my time on that too,, no reason to rush.

6 of 6. However 2 of these are just starting on their commando.

I have 8 toons, 5 are level 60. I don't know how I got there to be honest, I just played the game like I usually do to get dilithium (doffing/dailies etc..) and complete reputation trees. I am even kind of ignoring leveling grind and specialization points. All I can say is that out of those 5 lvl 60 toons 1 is my main, 4 are played almost mainly, they are all veterans (at least 2 years old), equipped with pseudo endgame gear.

pretty much the same here. I have 1 main but the others just keep leveling along lol

For me, it was really hard to level my main for DR but all my alts are easy because I had not wasted all that level 50 exp when the cap was 50.

4 out of 10 toons in total, however really I only plan on seriously playing with 5 of them-the rest are just roleplay alts so......

Yeah I have three Starfleet toons, one tactical delta recruit (heavily used) one science toon, and one engineering toon. The fourth lvl 60 is a KDF engineer.

The fifth and final toon I'll be getting to lvl 60 is currently 52/53 and she is a Starfleet-Allied Romulan tactical delta recruit. After that I'll have all my bases and combinations covered. A toon to fit my every mood, so to speak.

All that being said I've never...... well. I admit my Starfleet sci and engi endured some hard grinding but it wasn't at Argala to xp. I grinded away at STFs a lot while earning marks for their reputation trees. The exp just kinda happened at the same time.

But my delta recruits have levelled up entirely naturally through mainly the storyline and a few STFs. My Starfleet tac reached 60 about midway through the Delta Quadrant mission/patrol storyline.

My main three (My starter Fed Tac, my Sci Gorn and my KDF-Rom Sci Alien) are at 60. My Fed Tac I got through with Japori runs before the Tau Dewa incident, my KDF-Rom was via DOFFing and trying to go through the Romulan Reputation. My Sci Gorn was a combination of the last Mirror Event, going through some of the Delta Rising events and, just recently, the new Temporal Missions.

I still have my three Delta alts, two (Fed Eng and Rom Tac) are stuck at Level 10 (just enough to unlock the event ships) and the last one (KDF Tac) is at 52. I need to get back to the Delta stuff.
  • thatcursedwolfthatcursedwolf Member Posts: 1,617 Arc User
2 of my 12 are 60. No spec trees filled. 14 points on one, 18 on the other (all event spec points went to that one, otherwise one spec point a week at best).

Of the 60s ,1 Delta Recruit, 1 Delta Rising survivor (chosen to be the one captain that would get attention in the grind fest that is DR when it came out).

5 in the 52-56 range from events as previous 50s.

2 Delta Recruits at level 10 to unlock the reclaim tab.

    3 previously sidelined captains.

pre grind rising had 7 chars at level 50 ... post delta grind only have 2 at 60. deleted the remaining five. couldn't be bothered to level them. nor really bothered to grind the specialization points. Delta rising and beyond killed any desires to put effort into grinding. both my 60's still using mostly mark 12 rep gear as I haven't bothered upgrading. specialization points both chars have the basic 15 points in piloting and 10 in intel. figured max out intel then do demolitions/ commando ground specialization , then maybe command. Play very casual as I've found apart from doff missions and the occasional feature episode. it's really not been a fun mmo to play anymore.

I have 15 toons in total all level 60. And thats more than enough for me to manage and grind the pretty pink rocks on.
  • Gurneyhallek0420Gurneyhallek0420 Member Posts: 40 Arc User
I don't have any toons, as I'm not a prepubescent girl. I do have a few Generals though. 4 out of 10 I keep leet, the other 6@60 are just going to refine dilithium from now on. I had more but I liquidated what I could and deleted them. I think I'm going to get rid of those 6 as well, take the hit and move on. With a big surplus of refined dilithium I really don't need to have the ability to refine massive amounts every night.

  • xyquarzexyquarze Member Posts: 2,117 Arc User
12 level 60 out of 12 (although the latter two deltas only recently managed it). Mostly by doffing, only one is through with the whole storyline. All with maxed reps, although mostly due to events (I really enjoy both the summer and the winter races). It's not as much of a grind if you don't have the target to get to 60 asap or get that spec tree filled, but just enjoy when you get another level. I also don't have any real high end gear on them (except maybe for the oldest) but they're all doing well enough in STFs (no elite though) to not be a drag on the team. And yes, I am enjoying them all, no Dil grinders, everyone with a different ship and setup. (I only wanted 9, one for each faction/carreer combo, but then had to make a Delta for each faction).

As for grinding: I would recommend not to do it. Don't argala one toon five times in a row (of course unless you enjoy it). Do something else with the others inbetween. That ship trait can wait until next week. It's also more effective if you get the bonus marks for everything you do.
