The nerf from 10% to 6% +all damage on the new science consoles is intriguing to me. It shows that Cryptic may still indeed be concerned about power creep. That nerf tells us that either:
The 10% +all damage bonus can surpass the current Embassy Consoles in terms of damage output
6% may be to bring it in-line with the Embassy Consoles
If 6% is below the output of Embassy Consoles, then perhaps the Embassy Consoles will also soon be nerfed to bring it in-line with the new consoles.
It was always 6% but it was buffing itself up to 10% due to the bug.
Still can't wait to try them out properly though. Either way, these consoles should still be an improvement for my ship/build.
I'm just impressed that SOB stayed awake for the entire show.
Has anyone seen our Chief Engineer? Last I saw of him he was shooting off to test a new Soliton Wave based propulsion system and I haven't seen him since.
I'm actually surprised y'all didn't ask about their leaks and such it seemed to be the only question on my mind for them.
That's the point, it was mutually intentional.
Considering the second post in this thread (made by yourself) , may I ask why ?
IQ Fleet is much more than one section of a web site. They are not a "bunch of elitists that TRIBBLE the source code". They are players who enjoy the game from multiple perspectives, and we wanted to showcase that. They have some fleet events coming up, and we will be re-tweeting what they post out, as well as joining them whenever we're on.
Getting to know someone is part of building a community.
I had a really good time last night on the broadcast - thanks everyone for the positive responses/feedback.
We both wanted to encourage people to run some of the older queues - esp. the fleet mark queues. All these shiny new consoles and toys in the fleet holdings, and we all never seem to have enough marks/provisions to get things.
Feel free to ask me any questions you have on the fleet and what we are about - we're always around and more then happy to share some of our own experiences and ideas. Just remember to keep in mind that it's important to respect Cryptic/PWE's wishes on this forum with regard to topics they don't approve of.

Please make this happen. Xtern1ty is a well known fleet with a charismatic and ambitious young leader who is really working on building a strong, lasting, all-inclusive community of STO players. Would be very pleased of this fleet was given its due attention. Thanks!
Thank you for the suggestion. We will check them out and see how it goes.
While I appreciate the response below , fair warning ... -- incoming critique ! Fasten all seatbelts, seal all entrances and exits, close all shops in the mall, cancel the three ring circus, secure all animals in the zoo!

So, if I wanted to be thorny-but-to-the-point, I'd say that that answer ^^ , along with not addressing an issue that has been discussed fairly often by the players (the IQ fleet's "leak" page) , all in all come together to form a P1 attitude ... -- aka "representing the community" when it's comfy and safe .
Now I'll be fair and say both that you are correct in your answer (as evasive as it may have been) and I'll even point out that I could understand that there were "reasons" for not wanting to bring up the subject .
That said, both the reasons and your answer above come from your side of the fence .
From my side of the fence, as a listener, I can only point to what was glairingly missing .
Having said that, I also wanted to extend my thanks to all persons involved in promoting IQ fleet on The SHOW , and I'm looking forward to future episodes .
To you, the leaks page is the biggest thing about their fleet. To them, it's just one component of who they are. If you think it's dodging by not asking them about the leaks page, I can assure you that it's not. This is what we wanted to discuss with their fleet. It's the same set of questions that we asked Armada Fleet and ZEF. We also give them the same platform to talk about whatever THEY wanted to talk about.
I don't dodge questions, and I don't play softball. The purpose of the Fleet Interviews was not to grill them, but to give them an opportunity to address as many people as our little podcast will reach. What they do with that time, and afterwards, is up to them.
I do thank you for you listening and commenting on The SHOW. Seriously. No facetiousness at all.
I have received word that the great leader of XTERN1TY was nominated for the podcast! Xean, if you are reading this, please explain your plans for this game's future. You are the future this game needs after all!

I'm going to take minor offense to your comments. We've never, ever, claimed to "represent the community" in anyway or form. We are members of the community, just like everyone else. The only difference is that we have a platform to discuss the game.
It would be arrogant, pure hubris of me to assume that because i'm a min/maxing high DPSer; that every other min/maxer in the game shares my opinions, or... because i have a visible platform to talk/reach the community that i represent all the min/maxers in the game.
The same could be said of a casual player that happens to stream, youtube, podcast, or whatever. Just because they are a casual player does not mean every other casual player has the same thoughts or opinions, nor does it mean that they represent any of portion of that community because they happen to have a media outlet.
It's my firm belief that in order to represent anyone, you need to have a mandate... either through an democratic election or a nomination from a higher authority.
No one on the show has been elected, or nominated. We do not represent anyone but ourselves.
And this brings me to my next point, the purpose of the Fleet Interview segment of the SHOW is to shine a light on fleets that are also members of the community, and showcase them, provide more information and knowledge about them to our listeners in a way that is generally beneficial for that fleet and the community.
For example: before this interview all you knew about I.Q. fleet was that they where the "leaks" fleet. They actually are a lot more than that. They are a long time member of the community and have significantly more to offer to their fleet members and the community than just a website page.
So even weeks ago when we first set up this interview, we told Shem that we wouldn't be asking about the whole leaks thing; but they where free to discuss it if they felt like it, to which they declined. Before the show i told Shem and Briellie that same thing: that we wouldn't be bring up the leaks during the interview, but they could bring it up themselves if they chose. they did not.
The reason why it wasn't discussed on The SHOW was because we didn't want to talk about it, and neither did I.Q. fleet. If you really feel like you need to know what's going on with the leaks, then you can go ahead and ask them yourself.
Again, so i can be absolutely clear to you. We do not represent you, we are just members of the community like you, therefor we do not have to answer to you. The only people who decide what gets said and talked about on The SHOW are the hosts of The Show, with consideration for those we are interviewing.

A bit of a long show this week, but worth it with a lot of info.

Which one? There are 6 of us on the old table.

I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.
Who are they, and how do we contact them?

Enjoyed the video!
Thanks! I believe Oden is working on something.
Thank you for those kind words. I feel privileged being a part of it and like Sarcasm said I believe Oden is working on those enhancements.

And I agree with the other posters, a show with XTERN1TY would be a "must watch" episode.

Pls stop^^
