C'mon Cryptic, give us Engineers a break already, there is practically no Captain Space skill for Engineers that other Captains can't get using devices/specialisims/traits these days.

Time to overhaul the Engineer Captain skills to make us worth a damn.

    I guess it's time for an Attack Pattern Alpha-like consumable? (That doesn't stack with APA.)

    I suspect in an attempt to avoid escaling damage output of players even further, Cryptic has added lots of defensive/healing oriented procs and passives. But this ultimately is also what allows the DPS builds to shine - they don't need to worry all that much about survival, they can focus everything else into their firepower, as their procs, passives and console or device powers take care of the survival.

    Maybe make Miracle worker team wide, perform engineering miracles for the whole team!

    Perhaps not team wide, but make it castable. Or make it like the aux power traits, where one is offensive and the other defensive, so that we have two types of miracle worker. One is the heal we all know and love, the other is an APA type thingy.

    SCI Captains have had their special perks already distributed out to everyone. Some of it anyways.

    Iconian Rep, T4 trait "Radiant Detonation Matrix" has a chance for your attacks to strip buffs. SNB with spamming attacks but RNG based and not stuck on long CDs that SNB will have! However, this is straight up a PVP trait since NPCs run little to no buffs.

    Intel ability "Subnucleonic Carrier Wave" is a PBAOE "SNB-Lite" that affects multiple opponents. SNB is single target only.

    Long ago, buff stripping was the one thing none of the other captain types could replicate. Buff stripping of course is a PVP oriented perk but it was that ability that made SCI Captains deadly in PVP. But with the ability to squeeze in buff strip capability with minimal build space cost, SCI Captain has lost a lot of its edge.
