The game is unplayable this morning in red alerts or queues. Up to 45 seconds of lag with major rubberbanding.
This appears to be a major problem with code. They've cobbled so many things onto this old engine that now the hardware can't keep up.
I don't spend money on a game when it doesn't let me play.
I used to be Shakkar with thousands of posts. My very identity was stolen from me so now I am originalshakkar, the original.

The Game is in such bad state, they even cant fix a single spaceship trait or minor bugs.... but dont worry they got this, sooner or later with 2 players left, there wont be much lag
Same it's come to this as it used to be such a great game. I fear it's just being milked now and they are throwing all these new ships and sales at us to get as much money out of us before the game folds.
That is a practice which I find, quite frankly.... Disgusting.
You don't have to be a doom sayer, you just have to be a competant person to be ale to piece together the obvious that is going on right in front of you.
THOLIAN RED ALERTS.
I guess that, since people the only thing they need to do is to spam the space bar using faw, lag is not really too much inconvenient. Cannon users are the most screwed ones. But the lag in the ui is reaching a boiling point.
Then you have not experienced lag yet.
Lol.... i better not answer this. Not to mention, i didnt say anywhere that there was not lag for those players, i said they see it as a normal feature. Learn to read..
I wonder if there has been a financial impact due to the lag, yet.
None of the members of my team could fight the Borg ships without severe lag and rubberbanding, out hits on enemy ships only registered 20-50 percent of the time (making it almost impossible to damage the Borg ships), our BOff ability cooldowns went haywire (making it impossible to use our abilities against enemy targets or to heal/buff ourselves) and several Borg probes made it into the gateway without being destroyed because we couldn't damage them.
If this sort of thing only happens once a month it's not the end of the world, but if it happens all the time then this game would indeed be unplayable.
Don't believe the lies in this forum. I am NOT an ARC user. I play STO on Steam or not at all.
Multiple team members disconnected... ect. ect. ect.
There have been several Youtube videos documenting the situation, all you need is search STO Lag and there you go.
For me, Peak times are the worst, (like weekends, SUNDAYs) but off times seem better.
Yes, but hard to tell. At least I’m pretty sure they spear us more spec powers to grind because any better ones would kill the game permanently.
It’s barley playable as it is. Quiet a few I know just loged in over the (Dil!)weekend, made one ISA and said “sorry I can’t play like this, see ya.”
The bad quality is currently the main issue of this game as far as I can tell. With unfulfilled promises and cash grabs on every button you press in STO the next in line.
