So I'm trying to use a voth palisade science ship and build a monster particle generator ship. I chose the palisade because I happen to have all 3 voth consoles, which are quite handy, specially with the 3 piece set battle cloak. So I have one of the crafted particle generators / shield generators, and I'm saving up to get four of the Romulan particle generator consoles from the embassy. What I'm trying to figure out, is the best space set that will maximize my auxiliary power, and I'm trying to figure out if I should run gravity well one and gravity well 3 or should I run gravity well 3 + subspace vortex 3? I'm not really sure how that new or vortex thing works so I'm not sure best way to use it. Thoughts?
Personally, I'd consider using it as a drain ship. Use tykens rift 3 with grav well 1. At least use the LT universal station for science. Slip in an energy siphon and or a tractor beam in there and use deflector DOFFs to lower the cooldown on the exotic abilities so you can send a grav well to pull stuff in, and follow it with a tykens about the time the grav well dissipates, or start with a tykens on tac cubes to help drop the shields and follow with a grav well to pop heavy plasma torps, all while doing lots of particle damage. Use dominion polarons or straight polaron beams.
If you have AHOD, you might not need the deflector DOFFs or maybe just one of them. Also, greedy emitters from the Nandi could also help out too.
Not sure what the voth consoles do since i have never used them, but as far as standard PG builds this covers the basics.
Edit: i notice i forgot to add the console to get the bioneural gelpack to get the isokinetic cannon. Feel free to swab either the tachyokinetic or the bioneural console.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
I like the console. It's like a Uber hull / shield heal. Plus getting battle cloak is awesome with the 3pc. It's the *only* way a fed can get access to the battle cloak.
These are great ideas keep them coming. Do most agree that solanae is best for high aux?
I agree with ryakidrys that the Palisade shines in draining, also thanks to its drain console.
However, the Palisade is very similar to the R'mor, which I use in pvp as a partgens ship.
Solanae deflector for sure, because it gets the Prtg mod at ultra rare.
Engie and Sci crafting console with the prtg mod.
4 embassy Prtg consoles and, since I guess you are doing Pve, the ones with the plasma explosion proc.
2pc Reman or Romulan set for the Prtg bonus.
Constriction anchor for the exotic damage bonus.
3pc Delta ( console, beam and torpedo ) for the isokinetic cannon and warp core with AMP
Secondary deflector with Prtg ( not sure which one works best in Pve, whether inhibiting, resonating and so on ... )
Pve-wise you might want beams for the other weapons.
Gravity well and subspace vortex share a short cooldown ... Grav Well I is enough and the resonance beam from the Blood of the Ancients episode : you pull the npcs altogether in the grav well and then you shoot your resonance beam ( together with a sensor scan if you are a scientist )
If you can afford it and want to go full partgens, tractor beam repulsors with the reverse tractor beam repulsors Voth doff.
Then, ya, eptw3, epts1 and aux to structural ...and a hazard emitters I should be enough.
2 copies of FAW and 2 copies of tac team.
This is my idea without much theory-crafting, also because I don't know if you have Reciprocity and I don't know how much total dps and/or partgens dps you want to squish out of your Palisade.
Voth 2 piece bonus is good (+10% defense and cloak). I don't go for the 3 piece because it's too expensive and the "revive" console is junk.
If you want to setup a drain build, Lucho80 might be one of the better players posting on the forums recently to learn something from. His comments helped me out a while back and my nandi drain boat is my highest DPS ship right now, which strips shields from things quite fast in PvE.
Spaceeagle20's comments are also seriously good too. You have 2 really good folks with drain build advice to work from. You'll have little trouble getting some good performance.

P.S. My current base flow cap in my Palisade is up at 449. Trying to get those last 4 points (2 more epic consoles) to get to 454, just because they're there. The Nandi's trait is a very very nice addition to my ship. If I could afford the ridiculously overpriced APD Prime trait, it would get even better on the damage department.

How'd you get that many flowcaps? Dominion Deflector, Secondary with +25, 4 embassy consoles, a conductive RCS and Particle Exciter, Rule 62 Lobi console... Am I missing anything?

Thanks but ... wait a minute ... I've said I might be an expert in partgens but not in drain
Actually, I started to set up my Palisade a while ago following the advice by Husanak/antoniosalieri , Lucho and my fleet leaders Nandospc and Lambsia ... and then Delta Rising hit ... now, hopefully, step by step, I'll be back on that track especially thanks to the birth of the new PvP channel "The Next PvP".
I was going to save up and get 4 (2 shield / 2 hull) PartGen rommie consoles, but i took a peek at the new holdings sci consoles and might get 4 PartGen / +shield points consoles instead.

Those new consoles are cool but they're gonna cost a ton to get the right combination of mods for each build... Flowcaps and particle generators secondary for drain build, particle and graviton generators for exotic damage build. Particle generators with field generators for thick shielded Feedback Pulse builds. Well, three sets ain't so bad... Could be worse.

1) RCS and particle exciter(+75)
2) [Flow]x2 Tachyon deflector (+40) - (I hope someday they make a set with a +50 one, although all the junk lately boosts DPS)
3) Secondary deflector - (I use the DSD one since it includes a shield heal with drains)
4) 4 embassy consoles (+150)
5) 2 part Nukara (+15)
6) 2 Part Hirogen (+15)
7) Rule 62
8) Trait
9) Full skill (+99)
You can get +25 for a couple of hours off assignment and +10 from starbase boost. Then there is Inspirational leadership that can add up to +30. QSM adds +100 for some seconds.

Screenshot. Thanks man! If you don't mind, do you have a similar list for Particle Generator Builds? I'm very new to Science ships but I'm enjoying the hell out of em! All the variety is confusing me, especially with the new Consoles, no idea what to buy.

If you're new then start with a basic and above all cheap setup. Stay away from embassy consoles and just use blue/purple particle gen consoles from exchange or from your own R&D crafting.
Either way, the setup i posted higher up is a pretty basic setup for PG build. From there you can test various consoles.

Too late, I've already acquired most of the gear and traits I need.
Found a Gold Particle Field Exciter and Conductive RCS for peanuts! It's the shear amount of equipment and sets that are each equally good that I can't decide between. I can get anything I need though.

Yes it is. So does the Plasma burn from the PEP torpedo.
