So, "Star Trek:Alien Domain"...

Is this officially licensed or not?

It just looks very hastily put together.

Does anybody know?

AFAIK, it's licensed. Cryptic's license is not exclusive, e.g. CBS could offer other companies a deal to make a STO game, even a STO MMO.

Yes it is. It's a European game for the most part. And it may be one of the worst games ever produced. They really are expecting people to spend thousands to open crates and click to upgrade weapons for farmTrek.

For me even worse is that we basically are committing random genocide in fluidic space after we get stuck there. That's the plot.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."

"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."

At least the writers were smart enough to know put into your character's dialogue that he/she is against said random genocide and actively works against the Admiral/General pushing it.... this places the writing above the current FE

STO isn't canon, and neither are any of the books.

^ Memory Alpha.org is not canon. It's a open wiki with arbitrary rules. Only what can be cited from an episode is. ^

I played it a few weeks ago for a few days , the story is set right after Voyager came back home . basically it's a strategy-MMO with space-fights , it's not a bad game at all , but it looks to have trouble with Flash-player and freeze's a lot ... only worth it if you have a couple of hours free or nothing else to do ... no match for STO at all and don't make me speak about some players in this game , never saw such a bunch of rude and disrespectfull people in so much other online-games I play/played like in this one.

At least STO has something in common...

I know right? Currently the only justification for my character going along with this even a little would be not understanding exactly how the weapon works.

If she did she'd be all HELL NO, and in the worst case would resign and try to stop it if it looked like it was going to be used, for more reasons than one.

    1. Genocide
    2. Stupid idea - Messing with this thing is worse than the iconians.
    3. Both of the above
    4. More reasons I forgot because I just woke up and can hardly think- or maybe I'm being attacked psionically by an undine, gotta check that closet again...

Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."
