Well, that really sucks. I was very fond of his parents. I never realized that the father's actor had such an extensive back ground.

Was your neighbor's cat in a Star Trek episode or movie?

Very sad! More than just Sergei Rozhenko on TNG, he was the original Captain von Trapp in "The Sound of Music", Zoltan Karpathy in "My Fair lady", the voice of Aragorn in the Rankin-Bass "Return of the King", the German First Officer in "The African Queen", and gave over 2,000 performances as Tevye in "Fiddler on the Roof". How's that for versatility? And that barely scratches the surface of his acting career.

He played guitar, and sang folksongs (in 20 languages) - including performances at Buckingham Palace, and while aboard an airliner during a hijacking, in order to calm his fellow passengers. A truly amazing man!

I've known and loved his work for a long time. He will be greatly missed. :'(

    R.I.P. Theodore Bikel
