Guess the target of the kremlin weapon

At first thought I guessed New Romulus, then I remembered a line... the Iconian sphere protecting their homeworld is the oldest and probably the first of the Dyson Spheres.

So, I'm betting the Alliance will deploy the weapon against the Iconian Sphere. It won't hit their homeworld, just destroy the Sphere itself. This would cause a massive setback and may undo the Iconians invasion of the Milky Way.

T'Ket, the most agressive of the Iconians. Shift the balance within the Iconian leadership and potentially alter the very nature of our enemy's "government" with a minimal change to the timeline. Honestly, I was mystified why the Alliance chose to assassinate
    M'Tara
in Broken Circle when <insert player's name here> and Nog witnessed exactly which Iconian was the problem child of the lot during the events of Time in a Bottle.

Alternatively, use the weapon multiple times removing the planetary Iconian Gates from existence, retroactively altering the Iconian/servitor supply lines and the breadth of the Gate network, diminishing them overall.

I didn't get the impression it was an assassination attempt on her... just an attempt to destroy the ship and strike a blow.

Can't target T'Ket directly... although I wonder if they locate her and attack her ship... it would bring Kath'less back to life

My guess, one of the world's that Annorax was kept when Voyager's fleet ship kissed him in order to make the Iconian War actually against the Krenim for that twist.

No target. at least not one we decide on. "Year of Hell" Lockbox anyone?

He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.

None, read the latest war journal. :P

Either the FED is going to lock the project down or the Iconians are going to hit the research facility. Indefinite delay, time to look for something other than weaponized plot holes to win the war (hmmm, what are the Borg/Voth/Undine/Nice-ish Vaadwuar up to).

The feds are just going to let the klinks and rommies believe they have shut it down. Then, BOOM, the Federation Empire controls the Alpha, Beta, and Delta quadrants. Won't be long till Gamma falls as well.
Well excuse me for having enormous flaws that I don't work on.

    ....No...that totally won't happen.

However it would be best if you let me hold onto the controls for the temporal doomsday device. The Iconians could come at any time, and we have to be ready.

    My speculation:

The critical component of the Iconian Dreadnought's hyper beam cannon of that dreadnought over Laenas III at .5 seconds before the weapon fires.

No shot - the Iconian's suffered a "malfunction" - means "just enough time" to convince the Preservers to take action to defend themselves and "rein in" their "wayward children" preventing the remainder of the war.
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

Hrm. I haven't played the mission yet, but I figurued they would use a "major defeat" as a method to generate drama. Kinda like the Enterprise being destroyed or getting it's TRIBBLE kicked in almost every Star Trek movie.

With that being said - there still may be one more showdown...this time, with EVERYONE - Undine, Voth, Liberated Borg, Cardassians, etc. Who knows?

    - or -

Timeship can be used by outsiders that look at the Temporal Prime Directive as a nuisance. (e.g. Annorax or soemone else comes back and does it for us)

    - or -

Timeship is used but creates something similar, but puts us in the Mirror universe for a season (Hence Mirror Lockboxes, etc)

    *puts down crack pipe*

Is this a trick question? The Kremlin has most of its missiles targeting the US. No guesswork required.

We're screwed either way... long story short... I think the Krenim are in it for themselves... hell.. maybe they'll erase themselves from the timeline.

If the Krenim weapon can erase events, objects or people from the timeline, so they never happened or existed, I'd say saving the preservers and/or their archive might be the best use of the weapon.

If instead I could time travel to my heart's content but wanted to avoid serious changes to the timeline...
Step 1: Steal a Dyson Sphere.
Step 2: Travel back in time to the Hobus Event and evacuate all the Romulans and Remans on Romulus (and Remus) to the sphere.
Step 3: Travel back to the assault on Iconia 200,000 years ago just in time to evacuate all the Iconians.
Step 4: Put the Dyson Sphere in a remote location where it won't be found for 200,000 years.
Step 5: Reveal the existence of the Dyson Sphere to the ""Last" Iconians and tell them that if they stop their war, and agree to peaceful co-existence, they can have it.
Step 6: Open the Dyson Sphere and see what happened there.

I might steal even two Dyson Spheres, to avoid Romulans and Iconians running into any conflicts.
(Stealing two Dyson Spheres is probably almost exactly as hard as stealing just one...)

Food for thought, maybe the target was the iconians during their distructioe, and we are currently in the timeline that involved the use of the Krenim weapon, maybe the only way to end the Iconian war is to destroy the weapon eliminating it from the timeline.

Target Ferenginar it will undo so much damage. Then Seattle Wa, I live in Tacoma, trust me it has to go, then go after the Iconians as needed.

The problem with that is that the Timeship weapon does almost the opposite of what we see on Iconia when used on a planet. It erases the intelligent species on the planet and all manufactured structures. I now they said "all organisms" in Year of Hell, but what we saw contradicted that, with vegetation still existing. Iconia, on the other hand, is devoid of all signs of life, but with some structures still remaining.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

Wow, you know, THAT is really a good idea--and an erasure that doesn't result in genocide.

(That said, I still have my nasty idea about eliminating J'mpok, given that it could solve so much of the trouble with the Klingons and leave the galaxy a much better place.)

HA! That's close to what I was going for: In Soviet Russia weapon targets you!
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."

"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."

Are you saying we should shut down the food replicators after midnight on the Krenim station, no matter how much overtime the work crews put in?
