    No.

    Two completely different systems.

Veteran is awarded for days played. (Think its 700 days)
Doff "Veteran" is (I think) from achieving tier 4 in Tactical doff assignments. Its a title you can display above your characters name in game.

Days played as a subscriber, f2p days do not count.

By definition, you are a veteran, the second you start paying...

Veterancy is determined by how many days you've payed, and then after 100 days, and in 100 day intervals up till 1000 you get different rewards.

The quick and dirty way to get all the rewards is LTS these days...
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

Again it's determined by how many days your play as a subscriber. Days played as an F2P account do not count towards 'Veteran' status.

    I said that...

However, it's not entirely true... You can dish in a large amount of cash, and earn 1000 days in 1 second.

Typical business model for Pay to Win games like STO.
