Iconian Rep: ground pulse rifle and advanced torpedo?

How are these, are they worth getting?

I was looking at the Rep, and was thinking about these 2 items to get. Your thoughts on them?

Well, the rep ground weapon is a Pulsewave, plain and simple, with all the typical Pro's & Con's of such weapons. It does however look cool and unique. I know some of us here care about vanity B)

The Advanced Radiant Quantum? Terrible, terrible weapon :'( . It has some very big issues. For one, it's very similar in theme to Delta Rep's powerful Neutronic Torpedo. They're both Quantums and they both deal AOE Radiation Damage. But the Iconian Rep's version is just inferior:

    1. Base damage of the Iconian Rep's version is much weaker than the Delta Rep's Neutronic.

    2. Both versions are meant to be fired into crowds of NPCs to make use of the AOE Radiation effect. On paper, the Advanced version's Radiation is statistically much stronger than the Neutronic's. But when you read the fine print, it says that the Advanced Radiant's Radiation effect is limited, IIRC, to affecting only 2 targets. Neutronic Torpedo has no such limit. You fire a Torp Spread 3 into a ball of NPCs, and each and every Neutronic Torpedo with its Radiation effect slams EVERYTHING in that ball. In contrast, firing that same Torp Spread 3 with Advanced Radiant Quantum into a ball of NPCs? Each torpedo slams up to 2 targets.

The more targets there are in proximity, Neutronic Torpedo just performs that much better. It may have been nerfed months ago but it very much still is a lethal torpedo. As soon as Iconian Rep released and people saw the Advanced Radiant Quantum's stats, there were some crying about it right away. And for good reason. The Neutronic Torp does everything the Iconian Rep version does, but better. That does not bode well for those considering if it's even worthwhile to buy the Iconian Weapon & Console Set.

Agreed, the Iconian rep torpedo gives up some dmg, in favor for the weak proc rate of temp hp to hull and, suffers less overall AOE effectiveness.

ok thanks, I only got to tier I and hope to be at Tier II in a few days. I may go with the ground weapon since I love ground weapons that is different. Torpedo I will think about it after I get the Rep done.
