Since you basically challenged us to give you feedback in the giveaway thread two weeks ago:

    - Don't listen to the haters, MidNite. I prefer your calm and collected approach to the podcast. Sunseahl tends to get a little too "ranty" for my taste. And maybe it's because english is not my native language, but sometimes I have a hard time understanding Woody. He seems to be swallowing (dropping) letters quite a bit. Probably an australian thing?

    - Fleet Armada System: Well, I'm part of a very small quite casual fleet. (Starbase, Embassy and Spire are completely barren, but Dilithium Mine Level 2 should not be too far out iirc.) So if you or your co-hosts were looking for a gamma fleet... I mean, I have not talked to the rest of my fleet yet, but it's not like there is any drawback involved, so there "should" not be any trouble and even if things didn't work out there is always the option to turn around and walk away.

    - Now to your "T6 Excelsior". It's not coming out. It already is out. Take a closer look at the... T6 Concorde and Geneva Command Battlecruisers. I'm not sure which one of them (or maybe it's a mesh up of all three, the third being the Presidio class) but that should be the "T6 Excelsior" you're looking for. You're welcome. ;)
At least that's what I thought when I saw the blogs about them... "Geez, those deflector dishes and necks look a hell of a lot like a 2410 version of that old garbage scow called the excelsior class..." Or something like that. :p

    - One last thing: Next time you do a giveaway like two weeks ago, would it be possible to hint at whether or not it's about "guesstimates"? I mean, you said on the show that 40/41 were the last mentioned numbers when you actually were at 44 when the question was asked. Would have saved me quite a bit of time. I mean, I would not have relistened to all those podcasts in the hopes of finding a passing mention. :p
In return I promise not to explain my answer (before time is up...). That was a bad move on my part. My somewhat playful challenge backfired spectacularly. I mean, I could be proud that so many people trusted my explanation/answer, but on the other hand, there was obviously little to no effort put into confirming/disproving it. :/

Okay, a couple of additions... I checked "that site" and they do mention an upcoming T6 Excelsior...
That does not change the fact that the image you linked of the "new ship" is neither a T6 Excelsior nor a new ship at all. I just double checked and the ship shown in that image (well, the most prominently shown ship that is...) is definitely the Geneva class (Sci Variant) T6 Command Battlecruiser.

Now to a possible upcoming T6 Excelsior... The T5 Excelsior was bad enough. That ship should never have existed in the first place. T3 Excelsior? Sure. Maybe even T4, but I disagree with anybody who thinks a T5 Excelsior was a good idea. Or even a semi-decent idea. :p It just fueled the flames of the T5 (endgame) Connie crowd. Those flames needed to be put out for good.
In that vein, CBS vetoed a T5 (endgame) Constitution class, so I think they absolutely should veto a T6 Excelsior.

Now, like true trekkies should, let's try and find a compromise... I would be fine with a T6 Excelsior (and even a T5/T5U/T6 Constitution...) IF, and only IF they did not get access to the original skins. A 2410 "Excelsior-inspired" oder "Constitution-inspired" ship? Sure, go ahead, I don't mind. But the original skins would definitely cross a few too many lines for me.

I said pretty much that this week... Excelsior should be left behind, period. We literally have 2 ships that are pushed further into obscurity(Connie nostalgia, and Ambassador class) while the Excelsior is constantly pushed, even now, as "the Admiral's Ship" and feel like it's becoming this Russain-esque technosaur that's surviving every apocalypse. It should just be let go.

We don't want what the Feds have. We want the equivalent. We want fairer treatment. Concern, desire, greed to some extent, and passionate belief that the enough people would buy KDF items to make it worth Cryptic's while.
