I've reported this in-game, but it may be worth discussion. Easiest way to see what I'm talking about: take a shield that puts two clearly differently-colored glows on a ship, like the Nukara shield (yellow and blue). Put it on a D'Kora, and then put it on a Nandi. Both ships share certain design elements — deflector, small impulse ports, large warp glow slots. You'll see that the two colors are mapped to the opposite elements on the two ships.
One of the results of this is that the Nandi material (Ferengi 4) looks completely ridiculous on the D'Kora, because where it should have small shiny orange impulse glows, it instead has enormous brightly-glowing orange warp glows, which are inexplicably highly reflective.
I love the shared design elements between the two ships, but the reversed mapping kind of ruins the effect.
