Place to trade things with other players

Found out I'm going to need 500 Z-particles to make 100 superior cannon tech upgrades (probably less as I'll make some crits at least) is there a trade channel? Was wondering if anyone wants to trade other R&D mats for them.

There is a thing somewhere out there called the exchange. If you really put your effort in it, you may even find one.
But I need to warn you they are EPIC rare.

The Trading Channel, look it up and join. Thousands of people, but I should warn you that we mostly deal in expensive and rare items not vendor trash. R@D materials usually get traded though.

The easiest thing to do is to sell the stuff you don't need on the exchange and then use the proceeds to buy the stuff you do.

The game doesn't punish you for using the exchange by deleting some of your hard earned EC like the real-money-trade focused mmos do, so you don't lose anything by using the exchange.

Except that I need 500 Z-particles to make the two components for 100 superior cannon tech upgrades, too expensive to buy. I may not need that much because I'll get some crits making the items (wonder if I should do them one at a time, 5 chances to crit instead of 5 at a time) the package with Z's from crystalline catastrophe you seem to get less than the other ones.

What is it /join trade /join tradechannel, /join trade_channel, what's the right name?

If you don't have enough materials to sell to raise the EC you need to buy the Z-Particles, what makes you think someone will trade with you? Nobody's gonna give you 500 Z-Particles in exchange for 500 thorium, or whatever you might have.

    my head hurts...

you don't want to use the exchange because you want to rip someone off?

or do advanced queues and work for it. I've craft over 300 superior whatever upgrades and never run out of anything just by doing a few 30 min queues a day.

Currently the exchange rate of Z-Particles is 59k. As I am also crafting, I tend to keep a large stockpile of crafting materials on hand. I always recommend keeping 3 to 4 thousand of each crafting on hand.

How do you do that, doing only 3 STF's? The R&D packages get you nowhere near as much as you'd need to make say 100 superior tech upgrades

I think it is possible to find Z-Particles in missions and Patrols as well.
If I remember correctly they're blue quality, and I think for at least the particles you can tell what quality they are by the color of the interact item.

Its been a while since I tracked down materials in a mission but I do remember that particles seemed to be color coded by rarity while in a mission. Saw white particles, green particles, and blue particles.

    Eh, this^

If you don't have anything worth 30mil EC (or whatever is the current value of 500 Z-Particles) to sell, nobody will trade you Z-Particles for something of far lesser value.
