Hi Guys!
I am co-running a smallish fleet. I have noticed that one of our fleeties is online practically all the time. I figured I would go over and say "Hi!" and get to know them.
The roster showed he was at Starfleet academy. I looked everywhere (after a while it became a quest!) in both open instances. Also, while the roster showed him at the Academy, neither instance showed there was a "Fleet" there .
Does anyone have any ideas about how a guy can be and not be at the academy at the same time?
Thanks!
Sev

Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!
As for joining a fleet while still doing the tutorial it is possible yes all you have to do is send someone a message and they can invite you by right clicking on your user name, you don't have to be present in person as it were. However some fleets do require this to ensure you meet their membership criteria, for instance the CSP and FSF require you to show yourself in person so we can see that you are indeed a Caitian or Ferasen.

Of course they were not really online all that time - the roster had glitched, supposedly when their game crashed/the server came down, and as they didn't log on again for a long time, it never updated their status.
Roster is also glitchy in other ways. I created a bank fleet the other day, and moved an established character who had earned about 3.7m fleet credits into it. To my surprise, despite the new Fleet being Tier 0 and never having had any projects queued or filled, my character had 3.7m worth of fleet credits on the Fleet Roster (yes, the roster itself, and not the lifetime FC earned, etc). Others I invited in to see also experienced the same.
