U.S.S. Vengeance (T6)
im talking about the film, star trek into darkness, that constitution dreadnought class vessel you see in that film, why not have that in the game? a new dreadnought cruiser,
the visuals of the ship could look similar to what it is in the film.
in the film the deflector has a door for when it is in warp and for when it is not, when out of warp the deflector gets two plates of armour coming across the dish, i was thinking that could be a universal console, or a mode, similar to the dyson science destroyer.
by using the dyson system for attack mode as ive called it, stats change and it gets mroe tactical based. for the Vengence i was thinking when the mode is active, it becomes more defensive, increase resistances and slightly more increased offensive capabilities while losing a science bridge officer slot for one of the other slots.
for unique weapons, i was thinking the ship could have 2 unique torpedos, 360 arc auto reloading torpedos with the attributes (arc) (acc) (dmg)/(Crth/D), now these torpedos should have a similar setup to the omega torpedo. aka a magazine, firing maybe 5-10 torpedos per mag, in retrospect to the film, the torpedos seem to be on turrets, which is where their 360 arc comes in. im not saying these torpedos should have high damage but similar into the omega, think of it as like a photon omega torp.
another point with the film, the ship has an enhanced core able to keep up, if not overtake standard federation vessels in warp. by Khans quote: "if you think your safe at warp, your wrong" therefore i believe the core should have a maximum warp of maybe warp 12. (transwarp basically)
STATISTICS;
Hull: (40) 47,000. (50) 54,000. (50) 62,000.
weapons: 4 fore, 4 aft.
bridge officers: LT Cmdr Tact, Cmdr Eng/intelligence, Lt Eng/command, LT Cmdr Sci, ensgin Uni.
Defensive mode: downgrade LT Cmdr sci to LT sci and have Lt cmdr ENG.
Shields: Standard shield power: 8,000 /face
impulse modifier: 0.90
Turn rate: 8-10
crew: (since its designed to be flown by even 1 officer, the crew is practically just you and your bridge officers).
Cruiser commands
minor subsystem targetting (shields and engines)
Dreadnought Mastery abilities
tier 5 mastery ability: Cripple fire; when using a subsystem targeting, the next attack energy weapons and torpedos have a extra chance to cripple other systems or deactivate a subsystem at random for 5 seconds. with an increased chance to disable the subsystem your targeting.
such as, when using target shield systems, the percentage of disabling goes: weapons: 20%, shields: 50% engines 20% auxiliery 10%, and vise versa for targetting engines.
i have not thought of everythiing involved with the new ship idea, but being who i am. i thought this would still be a nice addition

@chaseling94
please offer any ideas for improvements, and maybe. just maybe we will see the Vengeance helping against current and future threats to the alliance. and sol, foreign or domestic!
live long and prosper!!
Comments
The U.S.S. Vengeance is part of the Abramsverse Trek and cannot be used by the STO team since their license only extends to material that CBS holds (anything from the first 10 movies and from the TV shows). The best ship we get that's close to the design is the Avenger class and the upcoming Arbiter Tier 6 version.
Also, no. Different timeline, different time period.
I'm pretty sure this is listed in the "Frequently Created Threads" thread and as such will be closed shortly...
And I think this subject is about as prevelant as the old Endgame Connie threads.

Your father was captain of a starship for twelve minutes. He saved 800 lives, including your mother's, and yours.
I dare you to do better.
I thought it was?

nope just double checked
But we won't get the Kelvin either as she didn't appear in the Countdown comic.
