Foundry Timeline Project

Hi everyone,

I'm working on creating a unified timeline of Foundry missions. Many of these mission tie into each other and refer to each other. As a result, I would like to establish this unified timeline in relation to each other.

This is the Preliminary Document.

The goal here is to establish a continuity guide of what stories go where. General rule is that these stories must have an affect on other missions or work alongside other missions to give greater context. For instance, if a patrol introduces a recurring character it would fall here. If a mission has no effect on later missions then it is a non-relevent one-shot.

That's not to diminish those missions, its just they are unlikely to affect future missions and there are literally 92,000 missions. I can't fit ALL of them on this timeline.

"Death at Mol'Rihan" will take place after "Blood of the Ancients"

As for the Iconians... I've come up with a winning strategy to get our galaxy back... basically.

Only one that relates to mine is the prequel of my Borg series made by Voporak, so I'll have to sit this one out.

I suppose that since one of my characters will make an appearance in "Death at Mol’Rihan" that the following are eligible:

Set after “Wasteland,” but before “The Romulan Mystery.”
    A Routine Mission

Set after “The Romulan Mystery,” but before “The Cardassian Struggle.”
    The Unsung Mission 1: Artifacts
    The Unsung Mission 2: Acceleration
    The Unsung Mission 3: Inferno

Set after “Delta Quadrant,” but before the “Iconian War.”
    Omnitabula 1: Awakening
    Omnitabula 2: Threshold
    Omnitabula 3: Beyond

Here are the time frames of my missions, in chronological order:

    Valley of the Shadow (Rom)
The entire trilogy takes place in between the Vengeance and Freedom arcs

    Ghosts of War (Fed)
Note: This entire series takes place in an alternate timeline, albeit one that is basically identical to the regular one except that these events also occurred.
    • Parts I and II: In between the Romulan Mystery and Cardassian Struggle arcs
    • Parts III and IV: In between the Cardassian Struggle and Borg Advance arcs
    • Parts V and VI: Following episode "Sphere of Influence" in the Solanae Dyson Sphere arc

Twilight of the Gods (KDF, in development)
The entire trilogy takes place in between the Solanae Dyson Sphere and Delta Quadrant arcs

    "The Hundredth" (Fed, in development)
Concurrent with the Delta Quadrant arc (exact chronology TBD)

    "Ghost's Gambit" (Fed)
Concurrent with the Iconian War arc (exact chronology TBD)

The goal at this time is to generalize the timeline. Ironically, because of the way the KDF and Rom mission chains work, there is no opportunitites for Foundry missions to fit in between their exclusive missions with the exception of between Vengence and Freedom on the Rommy side, which Pax Federatica already claimed. So I'll be using the Federation one (which is more chaotic) as the basis.

Ultimately, I plan to have someone create a timeline graphic detailing all three factions' storylines and where everything is in relation to one another.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with your work. I'll check it out. Right now, the main qualification for getting on this list is that characters or events depicted affect other foundry missions by other people (ie, characters by you show up in a mission by X). This is mostly to allow for ease of writing continuity in future missions. I will check your missions in my free time to see if your missions qualify.

Because Ghosts of War and elements of Ghost's Gambit are not part of the main STO timeline, I'm going to disqualify them. However, I do consider them good missions! So don't consider it a slight.

In that case, don't include Twilight of the Gods either. The way I have that written, only the very beginning of Act I and the tail end of Act III will be in "our" timeline. The rest will be either in a different alternate timeline, or in Qo'noS's distant past.

Task Force Ja'Dok has AdmiralMurphy from his Deep Space 11 series in all three missions (with kind permission from AdmiralMurphy himself, of course). His role is minor in comparison to the rest of my characters in that story, but he does make an appearence and his situation is vital to the story.

EDIT:- As a matter of fact, Murphy is actually gonna crop up in Ghosts of Ja'Dok as well.

    Would that qualify?

My existing mission "Bait and Switch" takes place after the "Spectres" arc but well before the Dyson sphere arc (there's a reference to Franklin Drake having told somebody about the PC, but the KDF is still treated as an enemy faction).

My upcoming mission "The Hydra's Head" is set between the Delta Quadrant episode and the Iconian arc.

I've been thinking about where in the timeline some of my Foundry missions would take place, so here we go.

"A Price for Eurydice" would be somewhere in between "City on the Edge of Never" and "Secrets of Nimbus." "Am I My Brother's Keeper?" would be just after "Installation 18."

I have two missions currently in the review stage. "Hellhouse" more than likely happens during
The Cardassian Struggle (I'm thinking between "Suspect" and "War Games"). "The Hive: Resurrection" takes place around the same time as "Hive-Onslaught," which would be right after "Into the Hive."

I have begun writing a follow-up mission to "Ghost's Gambit". (It's not a hard sequel; though its story does follow from "Ghost's Gambit", it won't be necessary to play that mission to understand this new one.)

    "[Ico] In Plain Sight" (Rom)
In between Cryptic Iconian War missions "House Pegh" and "Time in a Bottle"

Glimmer of Hope would be just after Blood of Ancients. it reintroduces characters and factions I've used in Dark Legacies (parts 1-3). My second Anthology mission "Stars of Wrath" will be using many of them again.

Dark Legacies: "A Past Forgotten", "Shattering one's Mirror", and "Time's Favor Turns"- would take place shortly after the Borg Advance part two- Assuming the KDF and starfleet have a cease fire of sorts.
Why do I still play and put money into STO?

I have changed the above mission's title to "[Ico] Trouble in Paradise". Its place in the timeline is unchanged.
