I really hope you guys aren't planning to remove the Breen Sarr Theln Carrier from next winters event. I got so close to getting that ship this winter and was counting on being able to get it next winter, but based on what you did with the risa event I'm worried that your going to reset the breen ships and make it impossible for any body to ever again get the only t6 carrier in the game. Please assure us that this is not the case.:o
I doubt they will...once 25 days is up and no one is busy with collecting anything other then people who are late or grinding lohlunts for money the partisipation will be drasticly down. I hope they don't, considering I'm now missing one ship from each because I wanted to take a break. I guess I'm not allowed to go play anything else but StarTrekOnline.
That's why I LEFT all other MMOs... At least Star Trek up until now had just about everything obtainable. Now I have no idea if I wish to continue or not.
To be fair, I had very little intention of "grinding" (I hate using that word) for the Sarr Theln. Thankfully my main still has the project slotted, which will allow my Tac to grind the project instead. As a result, both ships look very likely this year..I just hope I'm willing to do the Chel Grett as well...
Nope never slotted the Theln so, probably not good. Although if they follow the same formula as risa and change the type of q-card required or whatever Im not sure that it would matter if I did. TRIBBLE I wish I had finished collecting those winter cards.
I never slotted event projects early either. There is really no compelling reason to, but for some reason it's OK if you decided to slot the project to get the reward a year later, but if you aren't the type of player to do so, well sucks to be you. It's pretty terrible design and fairly poor decision making. Players LOVE to be arbitrarily punished a year later.
Well there were a few people who came to the Forums and pronounced loudly that they were not going to partipate, slot the ship, or whatever the Winter Event and then the Summer Event and/or the Anniversary Event because of blah, blah, blah. Well there won't be any sympathy for all the crying and nashing about never being able to get the ship 'no more, forever'.
If you have the Sarr Theln slotted already do that project with the Vouchers from this year and have an Alt slot and run the Nandi from this year. Plenty of time.

Leaving a game for not getting rewards for special events you never participated in is one of the dumbest reasons I've ever heard to leave for. For *any* game.
I ended up missing the last Winter Event for reasons and I was kind of looking forward to getting more than the Chet Grell as a Breen ship to have. I'm mildly disappointed that they decided to do this for exclusivity, which is a poor reason to change behaviour (by this I mean remain event limited but able to slot in other years).
Ultimately I did get the one I care about most a couple of years ago, so I'm not totally broken up if they decide not to offer older ships as options. Disappointed, yes.

You just might miss out on getting this year's ship, depending on how far behind you are.
Well, that is the idea behind limited time events and offerings. You're rewarded for being in-game, and taking part in specific events.
STO isn't the first MMO to do this.
