Crashing after selecting some captains

Everything will start up fine and I can log in to other captains just fine. When I try to log in to my main the load bar will get to ~95%, freeze for a moment then crash. Usually without a error report screen. It will only do this for one captain.

I have downloaded STO to 3 different computers and tried on 2 separate lans and I keep getting the same crash on the same captain. This is not a corrupted game file or bad connection.

This started after the april 23 patch. Was playing just fine on that captain a hour before maintenance and have not been able to log in to that captain since then. A completely uneducated guess would be the save state of my captain is some how corrupted server-side.

I hope this is resolved soon as I planned on buying a lot of zen and keys for that captain. I see a lot of unresolved threads like mine so I am starting to think this will not be fixed.

I had a captain that kept crashing when logging in. On one that worked, I went in and turned down world detail then relaunched the broken captain. This let me get back in and I haven't had an issue with that captain logging in since.

I have no idea if this could potentially help you.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it with high hopes but still crashes at the ~95% on my main captain. I even tried on 2 different computers
