First Contact Day/Day of Honor/Republic Day

So........we're now over a week on the opposite side of First Contact Day and it came and went without so much of a peep. I'm taking this to mean they're not being run this year? Or is the whole Delta Recruit thing meant to take its place?

    Yes, we had confirmation of this last month from Captain Geko. No FCD/DoH/RD this year. Mostly because we have all this other stuff going on at the same time: namely a new featured episode, a massive revamp of sector space in testing, and the Delta Recruits.

    Previous years there wasn't any chatter prior to the event either, but we had an activity.
    Let's just wait and see.
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    Meh just open up the Utopia Planita map and let us go visit there. Maybe look out the window at something being built :P

    Yes, because they would have added so much and totally not copy-paste the previous years event with one new reward, anyway. /sarcasm

    I mean, they couldn't even be bothered to give the Romulans their unique Doff for Junior Officer Appreciation Week, despite the fact she was coded and the only thing missing was the NPC to talk to to get her.

    They did that two years ago, recycled the old FCD and Cryptic got alot of **** about it because of the fact it was "lazy." So yeah, not suprised they listened to feedback and decided to *NOT* copy-paste it for this year when the Undine thing is over.

    They had time for their April fools joke on redshirt. But no time for first contact day. Well,at least they have their priorities straight.

    Just as well; I always found it silly that all three of the STO universe's "superpowers" not only just happened to have their respective big holiday on the same day each year, but that these coincidental holidays all occur more than once per in-game year. (In 2409 there were at least two FC/DoH/Rep Days; even if they skipped the first one in 2410, for all we know we could end up getting two or three more before the calendar turns to 2411.)
