Can't get past loading screen

Alright, so I got a new laptop, I'll list the details in case some one needs them for a work around. Anyways, at first, I was getting this dxgi error code, which I fixed by downloading DirectX 9. But like the header says, now I can't get past the loading screen. So any and all help would be appreciated.

So here are the specs.

Lenovo Edge 15
4th Gen Intel Core i7
Nvidia Geforce GT 840m
Windows 8.1
8 GB Memory

    Think the usual solution around directx problems are a re-install Of the game.
    Also make sure to get all the .dll's, files, and folders left behind when deleting. Think there's a guide for the dll names somewhere.

    Not your computer it is there inability to fix their servers been this way for a month now.
    They simply do not care but keep an eye for the new ship pack for 120 bucks coming soon!

    Put some of that damn money into the servers operating the game right now in its current status it is barely playable it is a laughing stock.

    If your laptop can't do 800x600, you can no longer play in a full screen. My new Asus ROG will not go below 1024x768, and have to play in max windowed mode. Have never gotten a response from cryptic on how to resolve otherwise. Use the safemode to start in windowed mode.

    I had this problem with neverwinter today , tried all the posted fixes , nothing work .So i put it combaility mode of win 7 , that fix the issue for me. just goto your star trek .exe in your game folder and put it win 7 mode.
