Have fun
Just because they put out all these shineyies doesn't mean you have to get them all
Your pain runs deep.
Let us explore it... together. Each man hides a secret pain. It must be exposed and reckoned with. It must be dragged from the darkness and forced into the light. Share your pain. Share your pain with me... and gain strength from the sharing.
Cynicism doesn't make you awesome. It just makes you cynical. And hating everything while still hanging out on the forums to complain makes you look a little sociopathic.
- The only gear which is mandatory for any mission in STO is a competent Captain.
- No one started this game as an Uber Player. We all learned over time.
- If you enjoyed yourself this time and look forward to playing STO again - Ta Da! You won!
- "n00bs" are people who have not played the game as long as you have. That is all.
- STO is only a game. It is not a religion. It is not a lifestyle choice. Nor should it ever be allowed to become either.
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.
It would be to communicate and actually learn by doing the standard STF's before trying the advanced, nobody should be failing any standard STF (Buggy STF's excluded) but i've seen people fail khitomer standard
... what I call a challenge game wise and, looks more canon combat wise.
probably because T1 ships have less weapon animaions fireing at the same times. 1 beam, one torp, 1 cannon...not 200 beams sticking out of your ship.
Srsly, reducing weapon animation to 1 or 2 hardpoints per cycle would drastically increase game performance and would give the game a Trek look at endgame too, and not only at T1.
The Devs have limits to what they can with NPCs so the chances of some improved AI aren't that good.
They said it could be done but most the player base would complain, and sadly they probably would. Solution might be to do that for Elite only, but anyway.....
I'd personally make everyone realise that the reason most the 'pros' are as good as they are is actually because we took the time to learn the game properly and didn't just play copycat every season. You could technically have the best build in the game, but if you don't know how to use it then you'll never do well, and sometimes to do well you need to make a build that works for you, hell, what works for one good player doesn't necessarily work for another good player, so it certainly won't work for a bad player.
Ten soldiers wisely led will beat a hundred without a head. - Euripides
I no longer do any Bug Hunting work for Cryptic. I may resume if a serious attempt to fix the game is made.
something is too good to be true, it is.
beware romulans baring gifts.
new customers are like razortoothed greworms, they maybe succulent but sometimes they bite back.
never turn your back on a breen.
all of which is a valid point, always keep an open mind no matter what, skill means nothing without a plan, gear means nothing without understanding or teamwork means nothing without thinking. Brains are so OP these days, thats why technology was invented, so everyone can type things into their tablet computers to think for them.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.
Two things are infinite: The universe and player ignorance. I am not certain about the universe though.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

That is a good one too
Lol, now that was shear awesomeness, that's what I call a challenge game wise and, looks more canon combat wise.
Nice video!
Looked like fun.
Praetor of the -RTS- Romulan Tal Shiar fleet!

1. My stuff is mine not anyone elses, put in the work and you can have nice things too.
2. EC is not the uber elite thing to possess in this game.
3. If I can do the content, you can do the content.
4. Grinding has been a big part of gaming since D&D met paper, get over it.
5. If you play this game and not having fun, find something else to do. It is not my job to entertain anyone's sense of entitlement.
I'll keep it at five.
I was Klingon before Klingon was cool.
Flying a level 50 ship in low level deep space encounters and one shotting the ships that low level players are fighting = Not Cool.
Star Trek Online is a game, not a forum with pretty graphics (ESD...)
You are not "required" to grab the latest shiny stuff (ie, "I hate that there's all this new stuff I have to get now. P2W P2W P2W!!!")
I especially liked the fireworks "signal flare"... and of course, the choice in the BG tracks.
Oh, STO related? Um. . .
There is nothing in game development that is as easy/simple as you think it is.
Only the game developers are right, everyone else is wrong.

Why are you not rejoicing?
In ISA, don't start popping generators until everyone is ready!
"Fun" is a state of mind, not something you acquire/consume.
If you aren't seen hating something by the people that like that something do you really hate it?
Why waste effort hating a video game? There's little enough time for them anyway... play what you love instead of hating the ones you don't.

Gear includes torpedos, DHCs, beam arrays, impulse engines, defelctros, warp cores, shields, consumable items, usable quest rewards, consoles, bride officers, duty officers, ship traits, lockbox traits, etc, *NOT* just ships.
Just sayin'...
