What about the few players that have unlocked the max character slots they can have for their accounts?
This is a good question though. I'm curious to know how they handle this on myself. Perhaps they'll assume that no one could possibly unlock and use all the char slots, then come around remove 10 characters from each person that has with no compensation, and call them exploiters.
Questions like this one are what get me in trouble....

And dumb TRIBBLE comments like this would be why you 'get into trouble'... Bull**** cynicism, especially when so far removed from even the smallest possibility of reality, achieves nothing...

Considering the high quality of TRIBBLE they've pulled on the playerbase and lack of trust they've created it's hardly cynicism.

Really? Being cynical is one thing, but spouting complete nonsense is another...
I've yet to see them pull anything that could be considered a direct attack on the player base, some poor decisions yes, but nothing that was clearly intended to disadvantage players...

dont look before you reply? perhaps you should look back over the years before claiming stupidty on behalf of yourself first. you should back up your own attack with something far more relevant, that means digging up the entire timeline and showing what is "complete nonsense". cryptic has done things in the past that is very unpopular to the playerbase. the most recent examples are; delta rising and the grinding sectors they brought in to cover the missing storyline content and claiming everyone loved it, this includes cryptic apologizing for the mess they left behind in the process.
these were proven to be disadvantagous for the players when the EP had to come out of his hole to say sorry and it was equally disadvantagous for the devs with that stupid meme that ended up floating around about the players loving DR.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

Yea cryptic and pwe never ever did such a thing and everybody has to be happy about the current state of the game as result of their playerfriendly actions the past year.

Excuse me?
Remarking that Cryptic are gonna strip people of 10 character slots, which they have already purchased, is just a blatantly stupid comment to make... Where has Cryptic ever done anything even remotely like this? If you're going to just dismiss my remarks as stupid, perhaps you should cite examples where it has actually happened?
There is a distinct difference between poor decisions and a direct attack on the player base... Cryptic made some very poor choices regarding DR, I'm not denying that... Was any of it intended to disadvantage players? I would hardly think so...
Their biggest 3 mistakes were to underestimate the entitlement of many (especially F2P) MMO players with their introduction of T5U/T6... The second was that their envisaged character progression was not inline with that of the player base, myself included - XP gain at level 60 still needs further attention, I fully agree... Finally Cryptic failed to roll out their dilithium changes in a single patch, instead doing it piecemeal and resulting in many players screaming as if they had been robbed - I might just add since nothing actually belonging to the players was taken away, no one was robbed, at worst Dilithium gain was nerfed which is, quite simply, within Cryptic's rights, whether we like it or not...
The meme you refer to is absolutely meaningless, especially given how far out of context and proportion it was taken... There is such a thing as business/marketing confidence - of course a key member of a company is going to come out with positive remarks regarding a new product - the remark was nothing more than marketing spin and it was only the easily lead mob on the forums who used it to mean anything otherwise... Hell, those using the term couldn't even agree on why it was being used!
The only apology I have seen at all recently was over the poor wording regarding the JHAS, and it being T5U, rather than T6... I still refute that 'T6 capabilities' promised anything more than what was received and the apology covered nothing more than it being poorly worded - many then latched onto this as further 'proof' of their entitled claims however... If there's been others, please direct me to them as I'd be very interested to read them...
At any point has Cryptic intentionally tried to undermine players? Have they done anything to intentionally disrupt players? Simple answer... No...
They have made some bad decisions, they have implemented some long term changes in (at times) a shockingly incompetent fashion, but not once have they gone out of their way to TRIBBLE people over like the OP tries to suggest they are inclined to do...
So please, since you're simply throwing a typical strawman argument at me, demanding I supply evidence to support my statements (when I never cited direct examples to begin with) I will ask you (and the OP) to do the same and demonstrate when, and how, Cryptic have intentionally shafted players... You are afterall the one's suggesting Cryptic have taken these sorts of actions, so please, demonstrate this...

Again, never said they were perfect - Cryptic have indeed made some very poor choices with some of the recent changes... I only said the mere concept of Cryptic stripping players of 10 character slots, especially slots they have paid for, is absolutely ridiculous...

Of course it's ridiculous. It's an utterly insane idea that they would do something this completely stupid. I suppose that part of the humor of the statement was lost on you? Let me send you $10 and you put it towards buying a sense of humor, ok?

Oh, you were trying to be funny? Sorry, but the amount of sarcastic cynicism in the post made that difficult to see...
