Mission Objectives and Scanning

voivodjevoivodje Member Posts: 436 Arc User
For quite a while I am annoyed by the fact that Mission Objectives (panels etc) are being picked up by the Scan (V-button).
Now I am on Kassae 4, a body here is seen as a scan result, but even after doing the body (and receiving the accolade) the scan won't show my anomalies.

PLEASE remove the Mission scan results from the V-scan.

Thank you kindly.

Thoughts?
Remarks?
Be sure to post them, but refrain from flaming or other unwanted reactions. :)

EDIT: Addendum: Map scanner shows 51 strange objects in the area, but the scanner does NOT show these on my map.
Furthermore, my Tricorder gives me 3 "anomalies" whereas the ship gives me 51.
Question: who's the bigger fool: me with tricorder (not getting all results) or my ship's scanner officer, that dreams up the 48 others?

It would be nice if both scanners gave the same result, and if possible, that the results are shown on the map?

I would love it if the tricorder hat multiple modes:
1 Scanning for mission objective objects.
    2 Scanning for anomalies
    3 Scanning for enemy lifesigns

    4. Scanning for shinies (loot crates), though most new content seems to be crate-free.

I don't want to deal with a dialog box every time I hit the 'V', so this needs to come with a method to 'adjust the sensor' scan (i.e. it's own button in the power tray and not hidden away in the options screen) to pick a setting.

And it needs a default of "closest of all the above".
