TOS For all! Except Gorn ._.

Does anyone know how to pull off a TOS gorn uniform for KDF? I have tried, and I can get a TOS Klingon, but no Gorn.

Any help?

I don't believe the original Gorn Skant was ever available. The bug eyes are available, but beyond that - the slow left foot, right foot gait is unavailable as well.

Beast races, in most games allowing customization, usually get less love due to different body and skull shapes.
    Granted sometimes, it's less excusable.

No, but I know how to make a rudimentary cannon out of bamboo, sulfur, potassium nitrate, and charcoal that can take one down. ;)

You really can't get a TOS Klingon as I remember, they don't have the hair styles of the TOS and they are forced to have the ridges as I recall. But you can do a TOS Romulan.

We used to be able to do the GORN as well, but they took that away from us and replaced it with something that never appeared in the show.

I still have the original gorn body type on one of my characters. I refuse to change out his uniform because it forces me to use the new body type.

Yeah, but without the diamond bits, you'll just make a bunch noise and smoke before the Gorn
finishes you with his polished ebony rock dagger. :D

True, but I said I could make the cannon. The diamond is just the ammunition. Huge diamonds are exposed on the surface of rocky outcroppings on most planets, right?

    TOS Romulans are Vulcans.

If you do an Alien captain, you can make a perfect TOS Klingon. You can also have another outfit complete with ridges if you want to suddenly become a modern Klingon.

It's not a skant, just recently watched that TOS episode and that Gorn is clearly wearing a Tunic.

No, they're Romulans. You can turn off the ridges and pick most hairstyles as a straight Romulan.

    Unlike Klingon.

Meh, I hate going the alien faking to be one of the main races route. although honestly, I don't know why.

You can, if you use the Alien template

You could't. You could get something that resembled a badly modeled version of what we have now, in glorious low rez.
It looked nothing like the TOS Gorn or what we have now.

Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

It would be nice to have the original Gorn skins and colors back as well to go with some Gorn TOS outfit options.

I second that. too bad the Gorn race was diluted by Cryptic's notion that the KDF were soo powerful that they can conquer the universe in one swoop. Craptic story telling at its best. The Gorn should have been its own faction.

I was of the opinion that they should have had a freebooter faction that was open to all the races, nominally headed by the Orions.

And that faction should have contained *all* the alien ships, and thus where all the Lock Box ships went if you actually wanted to fly one.

Not doing that was a horrible mistake. Just IMHO

    Clearly you're not a scientist.
    No bamboo cannon CAN exist.

They couldn't do that though, since it was mentioned by one of the Devs that the reason for alien/non-Faction ships in lockboxes (and lobi/promotional) in the first place was due to an agreement with CBS over not making them "easy" to obtain, compared to Faction ships (directly purchasable either with Zen, free from ranking, or with Dil/Fleet Cred/Fleet Modules). In exchange however, they would be able to release any non-Faction ships they negotiated with CBS as prize items.

That was cute given that they've become more common than faction ships. Looks to me like they completely failed their design goal with that one, which if they had given it any thought at all- they should known the result.

All water under the bridge however with nothing to do about it now. There's a lot of 'should haves' that would have made this a better Star Trek game. And all too difficult (for Cryptic at least) to go back and do now.

First you put your paws/hands around her back and blow into her ear cavity, slowly unzip it and let it drop, then after she tosses you onto the bed, brace for impact of the likes that will see you unable to walk straight for 3 weeks.
Blow in her ear, huh? I was wondering how you got that neck brace.

The "Gorn issue" is one of my biggest grudges with STO. They never even attempted to give us Gorn that were seen on screen. They just pulled some generic fantasy dragons (the original Gorn were "closer", but not quite) on us. As a game claiming to be Star Trek Online this is a shameful display indeed.

Quite right. Those damn Zalesians make Ferengi look charitable.
