I'd like to request something, having seen the Tier 6 Jem'Hadar Attack.. er.. Strike Ship that has just been released.
My request is as follows:
Please do NOT do this to the Temporal Science Vessel. Leave it alone. Don't change it. Don't release a ship exactly the same as it with a tiny change to the Bridge Officer seating, a new name like "Temporal Science Ultra Ship" and a silly trait.
Unlike my fine Wells cousin, we here at camp Vesta welcome the T6. The banners are up, wallets ready, the hearthfires are lit. Also, surely the xindi aquatics would have updated their fine carrier to T6 by now wouldn't they?
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
I believe their will be a T-6 Temporal Cruiser released from a promotion box. We have a science ship and a escort. The T-6 most likely would be a cruiser.

Just step away from the Wells please.
Thankyou.
Yeah fat chance of that happening, it's coming, hold onto your wallet whales.... round 2 of taking it in backside for the playerbase is coming compliments of your 'Executive Producer'.

Supported.

Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
With Tier 6 introduction and numerous (non canon) fantasy ships attached to it cryptic must have more than enough data what sells best amongst the fans.
It would not surprise me to the slightest if the voyager pack sold better than the new Command ship ones.
I think with that one in combination your pointed out JHSS its well obvious by now how the new generation of ships will be released at Z-Store and Gamble fronts.
I could also imagine that Cryptic wont repeat any release orders but simply will go for those ships who sold best the first time the soonest now.
The wells has been favoured by a lot of players over other sci ships. I estimate it to be high on the priority list of a re-release.
Looking for a fun PvE fleet? Join us at Omega Combat Division today.
Purchase/gamble for a new ship entirely?
No thanks.
Upgrade current ships to full T6 with a 1,000-1,500 Zen upgrade token?
Yes please.
Give us upgrade paths. This is what 'we' want. You will sell lots. Hell, you would sell over 30 to me (one for each of my toons ships). You will certainly sell more of these to 'us' than new ships (which let's be honest take more dev time).
* Disclaimer 'we'/'us' in this context refers to me, my fleet, 98% of my friendslist who I have discussed this with and pretty much 90% of all other players that I have discussed this with in game, on forums and on twitter.
Temporal Science "cruiser" first. 4/3 weapon set on a science ship first. We already have the Escort/Cruiser hybrids in the Battle cruisers and Destroyers, and a Science Destroyer which is Sci/Escort. We now need a Science/Cruiser hybrid.
Also, I welcome a T6 Temporal Sci Vessel and Temporal Destroyer. They need more customization options, including being able to swap the visual design and skin between the two, as well as alternative designs.
A T6 Advanced Obelisk is also welcome; instead of marketing it with yet another console, give it an Advanced Obelisk Warp Core that gets [AMP] at UR, but still works with the Ancient Obelisk set.
Same for the Tal Shiar ships. T6 versions with an Advanced Adapted Warp Core with [AMP] at UR and far weaker Singularity-like abilities. Romulans opening them also get an Adapted Singularity Core if they want to use it instead of the Advanced Adapted Warp Core. However, only Romulans, Remans, and Rom-affiliated Aliens can use a Singularity on the T6 Tal Shiar ships.
Add a T6 Voth Bulwark (even though I own one) to that list as well. Instead of another console, market it with the built-in ability (or as a Mastery Trait) to summon a Voth Citadel Dreadnought instead of the typical Fleet Reinforcement when you're near-death.
Throw in a T6 Galor with [Acc]x2 [CrtD]x2 Spiral Wave Disruptors, which can also be bought after unlocking. Just for those who love the ship.
And a Ferengi T6 D'Kora. Also for those who love the ship.
The rest can be left as-is.
Then let's continue the power sale with a T6 Tholian Science Dreadnought equipped with a Web Cannon console in a future Promotion. 3-pc allows teleporting of one target front-and-center to be Gravity Well'd/Reverse TBR'd/Tractored and fired upon. But it does come with Sensor Analysis and a Secondary Deflector slot. Hangar not included.
Also, I welcome a T6 Temporal Sci Vessel and Temporal Destroyer. They need more customization options, including being able to swap the visual design and skin between the two, as well as alternative designs.
Well, you can swap the skin already if you own both.
I wouldn't go so far as to make the ship parts interchangable though.
The ships are from different universes, so why would you be able swap parts?

NOOOOO.... the game is already inundated with fleet-level T6 cruisers, the last thing we need is more cruisers. OTOH, Temporal Science Vessels would give the Roms and Klingons something that at least cosmetically is a "native" science ship.
IMO, if there is a canon ship that is screaming out for a T6 review, it's the Wells. Personally I'd be far happier shelling out Zen / EC for a faction-specific lockbox ship than some random alien ship of the week. Of the 3 lockbox ships I own, the Korath is the only one I don't regret buying.
The major reason I can see thins *not* happening is that, IIRC, Smirk already responded to a request for a faction-specific lockbox by saying they had no plans to do another one (something along the lines of, "why would we do that when we have all these cool alien ships to use").
Unlike my fine Wells cousin, we here at camp Vesta welcome the T6. The banners are up, wallets ready, the hearthfires are lit. Also, surely the xindi aquatics would have updated their fine carrier to T6 by now wouldn't they?
You know, a 9 pack of science ships, with Vesta being the fed version would probably sell well. (Both the Klinks and Rommies have been whining for a good science ship for ages.)
My preference would be 3 pack (Fed, Rom, KDF), because I'm tired of seeing 3 packs where you buy 2 just for the consoles.
You know, a 9 pack of science ships, with Vesta being the fed version would probably sell well. (Both the Klinks and Rommies have been whining for a good science ship for ages.)
Just out of interest, how is it "whining" to want a T6 Sci ship option?

That's different, and something I could personally advocate. The Vesta is a C-Store ship. It has a flat price. No gambling involved.
A lockbox ship or a promotional ship should, by all accounts, NEVER lose its edge in-game. Its a gambling ship. What they did with the Strike Ship is wrong.
How would you feel if, having purchased a lifetime subscription to the game a few months ago, they suddenly created new content that only "Lifetime Subscriber +1" players could access. Oh, and no, there is no free upgrade to loyal veterans - you have to pay full price to get this new pricing option.
I think Cryptic already set up a precedent with the Pathfinder and the new bug. No going back to it...all they see is $$$. Highly doubt it if they will sell tokens to fully convert a T5 to a T6 like some requested for the bug.
It's incredible the money grab...sell any boxed T5 and do some small mediocre re-design>color it> add a ship mastery trait> then call it a "T6". Im sure they will do this for the galor, temporals, tholian, voth and all the other ships they sold as boxed T5. When desperation for money grab starts...very hard to curb he habit
While the straight up replacement of ships is fun for no one, I think it might be more palatable for the players if it was just C-Store ships that were replaced vs Lockbox ships, via the C-Store.
If your $30 ship was replaced by another $30, it's a lot easier to swallow than your lockbox ships being replaced by a better lockbox ship.

Says you. I love it. I'll just buy the old temporal for my klink at a reasonable price as opposed to the god awful prices on the exchange these days and some other guy can get rich selling people the same ship with better stats for insane prices. BC playing a star trek game to be op like people do in wow totally makes sense.

I actually thought about this last night. You need not worry about this, I don't think. My line of thinking requires a bit of logic/common sense... so that may be my first mistake, when talking about Cryptic, LOL... but, here's what I think:
1. I could see new ships added to these "sets." Many lock box and Lobi ships come in twos... the Wells and Mobius, to take your example. They come with one special console each, which when combined, can get a 2-piece bonus. The Jem'Hadar ship set was unique, as it was the only set (for a while) to have three ships (but still, two consoles). The Voth and Elachi then got three ships AND three consoles, and now, the Jems have a third console. All that to say... if they find a good enough excuse (hello Krenim!), they could add to the temporal console set through another (new) ship.
2. Remaking lock box ships would require re-releasing lock boxes as new. The lock box replay is a three-time-a-year event that pushes the sale of keys, all for content that is "in the can." Could they release "remastered" lock boxes? Sure, but I find this very unlikely, since they'd likely be working on a new lock box on top of that. Let's hope they won't run out of ideas...
3. The Bulwark is screwed. Promo ships are different than lock box/lobi ships. Supply and demand work in their favor better than the other two ship "types." Anytime a lock box replay event runs, a supply of those ships always finds their way into the market. There's simply less chance for these ships to sprinkle in. And, if you're keeping score... the Elachi have a T6, the Jem'Hadar have a T6... the Voth do not. Now, 4-piece console sets are now a thing, so they COULD release a new Voth T6 ship... but, why would they do that, LOL?
Long story short: I think your Wells Class is safe.
Recalibrate the lottery, lobi and fleet ship purchasing model and add a new ship customization grind.
My preferences:
Lock Box Lottery ships : an automatic T5U upgrade
Lobi ships: an automatic T5U upgrade
Zen Store only ships: zen upgrade token (make it equal to the original purchase price per ship)
No fleet upgrade version. If a zen store purchase is required to acquire the ship then keep the ship a zen store item.
Don't repeat the LTS ship upgrade that penalized non-fleet members.
Fleet ships: add another tier for ships that can be acquired without a key, lobi or zen
The fleet only upgrade for zen purchased ships excludes non-fleet members (disclaimer - I'm in a fleet) and at the very least an alternative path should be provided to acquire a mirror type fleet level ship.
Create a new grind. One not very detailed example:
Utopia Planitia (and Klingon and Romulan equivalents): use Utopia Planitia (and Klingon and Romulan equivalents) and add a reputation grind that earns a ship upgrade converting a current boff seat to intel and/or command; hull increase; console slot.
Make the reputation level cost proportional to a fleet tier cost. 1-player (reputation) vs 5-players (fleet) for tiers and keep the module and credit cost the same for ships.

Yeah.
Here's my take:
Cryptic doesn't need to stay on this path since the Bug was never TECHNICALLY the same as the lockbox ships.
Here's what I'd be down with:
Rework the old lockboxes with T6 prize ships and start cycling through them.
To anyone who has an existing LB or Lobi ship, let them upgrade for something like 200 Lobi.
It seems almost cruel to expect someone who navigated the gambling system once to gamble again for their T6 upgrade. No problem with the idea of a flat price though.
