Been gone for a while, what all has changed?

I have not played since the release of Delta Rising.

What all has changed/been added since I was gone? You don't have to be too specific or anything. Just a quick list.

Thanks

There is more sand on Vulcan. Other than that nothing.
Should I start posting again after all this time?

There are a number of memorials that will be posted around in key locations in honor of the Star Trek cast who are no longer with us. All patrols and all missions now reward dilithium and more points. APCs and BNP's are rewarded for ground battle zone missions. Intelligence is no longer the only specialized traning set there is now Command as well. Ten new ships, three for each faction and one universal that was given away for the 5 year anniversary event.

That's off the top of my head.
    "Why all the sales"?

And a merry freaking Christmas to you too, Ebenezer.

Captain Geko was unsatisfied with the shape of Delta Rising when it launched. He immediately took responsibility for the situation, engaged the forum community directly, and apologized for all the problems.

He iterated his dissatisfaction with how grindy the game was becoming and buffed the XP right off the bat to ensure the questing content was sufficient to reach the level cap as with the rest of the game up to that point. He pledged extensive bug fixes and rubber band and lag correctional efforts; there were also bugs that allowed players to get into special shuttle bays and other fun little areas, but those fixes could wait. Issues that impacted gameplay would be addressed first.

To earn players forgiveness for all the mishaps, STO celebrated it's 5 year journey with free Tier 6 Constitution Class starships, no grind. Simply handed out to all after playing a single cool quest. And there was much rejoicing. Then Captain Geko adjusted his eyepatch and realized he had mixed up our savage Mirror STO game for his Prime dimension STO. He apologized one final time for the misunderstand and went back to his home dimension to perfect game balance and invigorate PVP. :(

    Well...

    - revamped Romulan story arc (good missions but they took out a whole bunch of old but entertaining mission and replaced them with only 4 or 5 new ones)
    - new mission "Dust to Dust"
    - new Command spezialisation (for captains and boffs)
    - missions played and replayed now reward dilithium

    That's it I think...

There I was, merely browsing the forums (not signed in to them) until I read this:

Then I just had to sign in and applaud. Made me chuckle. :D
