Any of these ships better than my scimi or avenger?

Forgive me, I'm not as knowledgeable about all available ships as some others are, I need to rely on others' expertise...

I'm currently flying a Rom/Eng in an Aux2Bat built Scimi and
a Fed/Tac in a phaser built Avenger.

Am I going to find anything comperable in the new T6 command ships? I tend to prefer tanking type builds or at least hybrid, willing to settle for "good enough DPS", I'm not dps-obsessed.

Would some kind soul out there who has scoured all the abilities of the new shops give me a nod if there's something I should really take a close look at this time around? So far, been happy with what I have...

And thanks in advance...

EDIT: Oh and I'm strictly PVE...

Obligatory sentence: every ship works in PvE.

That being said, I have Scimitar, Avenger and Presidio. Avenger hits heavier than the Tactical BC, the fifth weapon hardpoint is nuts, plus it turns quicker. The Command Battlecruiser can shine in a team PvP environment, with inspiration abilities available for use based on the needs of team mates and command powers. It's not meant to be used in solo environments. Suppression Barrage III can make someone way easier to hit for the whole team, while Overwhelm Emitters and Rally Point give a nasty heals across the board.

To me, Command ships are a waste in PvE. Command boffs use like 10% of their true potential in there. Just keep your rides.

Thanks for your response - just didn't want to overlook an obvious jump - your summary fits with what I remember reading in the release/patch notes, but its not the same as hearing from someone who's flown 'em.

    This is spot on.

However, it's worth noting the Tac BC (Presidio) trait, All Hands on Deck.

Ridiculously OP, and I can't see Cryptic nerfing it because I don't think they understand just how potent it is. That may help you out a bunch.

There's nothing saying you have to use command abilities in hybrid command stations. They're a total waste, so don't bother. You won't be running a DBB/Omni setup like you do with an avenger or scimitar (as the command ships are 4/4 setups) but the Presidio is about the same as the other 4/4 cruisers we've got available. It's got what's needed to get the job done, and trades the weapon efficiency command frequency for a hanger bay and team wide dmg buff that's usable once or twice a run.
