Seriously, Craptic... You've got hundreds of people wandering by Vulcan to offer their own little thanks to a fallen Father of their fandom.
And it's utterly ruined by your bedamned party fouls - Screachers, balloons, and the ultimate insult - disco balls that force everyone's character to gyrate like a stoned stork.
We should all have the ability to turn OFF these idiotic party fouls; so that we don't see them, don't hear them, and are not locked into gyrating to them without having to input the stop command every twenty seconds.
There was also a tool in DS9 who was verbally trolling using Leonard's death as his justification. The people who do these things will defend themselves calling others boring, oppressive or what not but really are themselves suffering from mental illness. They of course avoid this behaviour in real life do to the real likely physical consequences of their actions.
You DO know you can go to Drozana and buy an inventory item that will prevent the party amps from affecting you, right?
You should also check out the FCT, since Party amp threads fall under it.
Disco Balls (Party Amplifer) threads
The items are obviously added to the game and aren't going anywhere. However, everytime people make threads about them they tend to turn into threads of flaming, trolling and harassment. As such, we aren't going to allow these threads anymore unless something changes with them.
Get over it and move on.
Using this occasion to rail against game items you don't like is pretty low. Calling the the developers names is real classy.
its not just the fact that it makes you dance, the visuals are annoying also. I usually just switch zones, but sometimes that's not an option.
I still don't quite understand why Cryptic just doesn't add a setting in the option menu that allows you to turn off the 'Social Devices'. There seems to be enough people who would support it.
No balloons, no horns, no confetti on the client side.
That way, the people who don't want to have anything to do with it, won't even know its going on and the people who enjoy it can have their fun without disturbing others.
Did not know this game SHOULD have reservations for people that complain about programmed features being used? If you dont like a feature no one makes you stay there to endure it.
Yet another thread of calling people names and non-stop complaining about not being able to find the exit game button when your feelings get hurt.:P
Would you go to a memorial service in RL and start blowing party horns? No you would not, because 10 seconds later you'd be eating from a straw for the rest of your life. You do it here because you can hide. Mentally disturbed cowards is what we are talking about. This isn't about being an idiot at the exchange. This is about a man, who impacted a lot of people's lives, death. There is no defence or justification for the actions.

This is just not a matter of staying somewhere or not. This is a simple matter of showing respect to a group of people who are wishing to out their respects to someone was meaningful to them, in all serenity. It's about self conduct, to know what can be done or not at any time.
To me, today is a sad sad sad day for all Star Trek admirers.
OK, if I have to stay here for a while, your cieling ... looks idious.:D

I personally would not do that, but there a number of Real life groups that do.
Vulcans believe that death is a completion of a journey, please show me via canon the vulcan death rituals.

First, I have not even logged into game today for record and dont plan 2 yet.
Second, Breaking news "This game is not RL" and that right there leaves a lot of options for me to press any button in this game I please sir..
Third, "You act like you want control over what others do in this game"

And people would get arrested for assault and battery or whatever laws were broken. Then the lawyers would rev up an go into action.
Take a deep breath.
You people are doing the deceased a disservice with your outrage, and going off the deep end.
Do you really want to say that you support the use of disruptive devices, any where, any time, particularly when they are being used to harass people trying to pay tribute to the passing of a major figure in the Star Trek universe? The fact that people do it IRL doesn't make you less of a troll, and comparing yourself with the RL group that does that type of activity doesn't get you many allies.
"Susse-thrai" had been the name bestowed upon her, half in anger, half in affection, by her old crew on Bloodwing; the keen-nosed, cranky, wily old she-beast, never less dangerous than when you thought her defenseless, and always growing new teeth far back in her throat to replace the old ones broken in biting out the last foe's heart. Romulans: left one homeworld, lost another, third time's the charm?
When my nine year old died from cancer we played his favorite songs at the funeral.
Because while we were morning inside, playing his songs we celebrated his life.
Nimoy is a person that no Star Trek fan will forget.
Please understand that everyone is different and handles death differently
I for one will be thankful for his role as Spock and all his contributions to his fans that he made.
Let's concentrate what he gave us and let's try to understand other people personal freedom to morn in anyway. Do note Some people cannot handle death at all and become freaked of the thought it's real.

R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy
Well apparently, only people who don't know how to have fun do not use it.
Those dang disco balls are not fun in the slightest. They were all right when they were new, but they're just annoying at this point.
It's time for them to be removed from the game entirely.
You should also check out the FCT, since Party amp threads fall under it.

Did you know what your own signature image said before you made that post? Just curious.

Irony is not just the opposite of wrinkly.

Trying having someone called "Zombie Spock" running around yelling "Brains and Brains! What is brains?".
For others it's a time to celebrate, but in a good way.
For a tiny few, it's a chance to ruin the experience for others. Pictures of the individual who shall not be named can be seen here:

I should point out theres a group of players now following 'him' and negating everything he's dropping. Now that's teamwork

But, Leonard Nimoy was in a Zombie movie.
