New Romulus Underperforming Officers

Today's patch notes say that the DOFF terminal on New Romulus now accepts allied DOFFs as input on Underperforming Officer Exchange missions. What it did not state is that you GET allied DOFFs as well.

With today's patch I thought I could (at last) unload my bloody allies for some good old Romulans. Imagine my dismay when my 5 Uncommon DOFFs yielded a Rare NAUSICAAN! Aggressive and Stubborn. Ugh.

Why doesn't this terminal work like the other specialized ones (Gorn/Orion/Nausicaan/Andorian/Tellarite/Vulcan)? If you're in New Romulus Command, you obviously ARE a Romulan or a Reman or Republic Alien, as FED and KDF captains cannot enter. Since it's off-limits to allied captains, it certainly SHOULD be off-limits to allied DOFFS!

Please fix this so Romulan captains can get Romulan crews.

    This. Especially since only RR purple doffs can buff singularity powers. Ally marked rom doffs from the embassy have generic buffs.

    The New Romulus console has always rewarded a mix of RR and allied doffs, even when it would only accept RR doffs coming in. At least now you can grind up those stinky klivam doffs and maybe get something worth using.

    I do really wish it'd change to always output RR doffs, tho. I'd probably waste all of my dil ...

    True. I had hoped with the recent adjustment to it, it now also ONLY gave RR Doffs.

    Just got a bloody purple Klingon from it. What a waste of 5,000 Dil!

    On a related note, I wish they'd remove the allied BOFF recruitment DOFF missions from New Romulus Command, too, and decrease the rarity of the Romulan, Reman and RR-faction Alien ones (if any) instead. There's really no justification for being able to recruit allies here.

    New Romulus for Romulans and Remans! :D

    On the plus side of the console, I have now gained one blue and one purple Romulan officer, so at least sometimes we get OUR people.

    Batting five hundred so far.

    FYI - For a while now they've made the minimum effort necessary when adding doffs. That's why we don't have every type of R&D doffs obtainable in the game (White or purple with 1 blue) outside lockboxes and that R&D support that only gives the commons or blue.

    For the Romulans, they did the allied faction stuff to avoid having to create more doffs than the minimum necessary.

    Unless they suddenly decided to do stuff like adding the Reman section of New Romulus and that 3rd spire in the Solanae Sphere, I wouldn't try wasting threads on something they have zero interest in ever fixing.
