My ideas re: specialisations

1. A minor thing - rename Commando to Marine, or whatever, to differentiate it more clearly from Command.
2. Drop the number of points sunk into a spec that are need to create a manual from 10 to 5, which is needed because...
3. Boffs should be allowed to have the secondary specialisations (Pilot, Commando) as a spec (they should still only be able to have one active, though). These secondary specs should only have a few skills, and obviously only in Space (Pilot) or Ground (Commando).
(This is to encourage people to put points into secondary specs - at the moment, I imagine most players just put points into one of the two majors at a time till it is completely filled out)
4. Retroactively add a "Helm" slot (for Pilots) on most ships, or at least high-end ships, which is something that is kind of missing; send a pilot manual to all players so that they can retrain one boff as a Pilot; move skills such as Evasive Maneuvers and Ramming Speed to the Pilot tree. Shuttles and other small craft should have higher-rank Pilot slots, as they are smaller and more nimble.
OK, that's all my ideas. You may bask in their brilliance for the appropriate interval before praising them fulsomely.

my experience most players ignore the primarys to fill out piloting first than pick a primary
You don't think having an actual guy at Helm - which is consistent with the shows - is a neat idea?
Because I did a quick survey of me, and it's the best idea ever.
