I think I identified the lag issue...

After watching Voyager I do believe that the problem is the Omega molecule :D. Think about it for a second. Someone broke the Omega directive and tried to harvest them and blew a huge hole in subspace taking away the ability to use warp engines. Well "Q" and his little crew of villans have dispersed those Omega molecules all across the quadrant with a unuasually high concentration around ESD and Starfleet Academy.

Omega particles are Classified so that only the top brass knows what's going on with them.
[Kinda like Crypic is keeping secret thier problem with lag]

Starfleet suspended the Prime Directive over the Omega particles.
[Patch day went to HELL without any warning from Cryptic.]

Starfleet chose to disregard all rules to keep secrecy about the subject.
[Cryptic????]

Lag, rubber banding, missing doffs, unslotted boffs, missing consoles, re-arranged or missing skills, missing doff assigments, rolled back reputation, R&D screwups, and who could forget the UI latency that lasts for precious seconds?

Perhaps Cryptic is meaning for us to RP about the Omega Particles while they simulate the fallout of what would happen if we had another "Accident" with Omega particles.

There are two days immediately following the end of the event which do not have any special event type things happening.

It'll be nice and quiet. I can't believe Cryptic is letting us have a two day break from the incessant dilithium weekend/double XP event/omega particle farming/R&D boost/shuttle event/other nonsense rollercoaster of "fun" that they've constantly been putting us through since DR dropped.

Though this is a very humorous thread, I do actually believe it is correct. Think back to when lag and UI lag started. It was the anniversary patch. I think all of the minigames starting and ending on many maps throughout the game with near constant item calculations and drops is what is causing the lag.

I for one would be more surprised if the lag remained after the anniversary ended.

I for one will sigh a sigh of relief once the omega madness ends.

I cannot say with any degree of certainty if the increased server load is to blame or something like memory leakage, but i long to do bug hunts and other content without lagg.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

You're all wrong. The other day I was in teamspeek with 2 other fleet members. They were playing the game and I was about to log in. Then I did log in and both of them were kicked from the game. That combined with the fact that the game lags whenever I'm logged in confirms that it is actually me who causes the lag and disconnects.

I intend to log in every day from now on unless I receive exactly one million bars of gold pressed latinum.

Since I fly a Wells Temporal Science I guess it is up to me to fix the SNAFU and restore the balance by banishing "Q" and his minions. We will undertake this mission at 10:00 hours Easter Standard Time tomorrow. Mission parameters are classified so if the mission is sucessful we should be back at 14:00 hours Eastern Standard Time. Logic dictates that it may take more than one attempt to restore spatial harmonics acrossd the multiverse.
