I want to mix things up a bit for ground combat so I decided to look on the exchange for different ground weapons to purchase for my various toons and Boffs in all three factions. I have purchased weapons like the following:
1. Voth Antiproton Wide Beam Pistol / Split Beam Rifle / Full Auto Rifle
2. Corrosive Plasma Full Auto Rifle
3. Vaaddwaur Polaron Compression Bolt Pistol
4. Nanite Disruptor Pulsewave Assault Rifle
5. Polarized Disruptor Split Beam Rifle
But still have many Boffs that are using "common weapons" like vanilla disruptor, phaser, and plasma weapons. So I am just wonder what other players are using. I prefer not to use "heavy weapons" like mini-guns or blast assault rifles.

Your dislike for automatic weapons closes the door on some interesting choices like the Omega_Force_Antiproton_Autocarbine and [Plasma Piercing Beam Rifle / [Plasma Wide Beam Rifle .
Best advice though is to purchase and test different weapons to see what fits your preferred combat style.
Edit: Personally i like the looks of the bajoran weapons, but i don't want to pay 2250 zen for the ds9 bundle.
Big time weapon collector ingame, but that price is too steep.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
The Delta rep compression rifles with the Orbital Strike secondary is my current favorite. Even if it usually hits nothing because someone else kills the target before it charges, it still looks awesome. If they were cheaper I'd give 'em to all my boffs just so I could watch the fireworks.
I've got a fleet mate that partial to the Kobali pulsewave pistol thingy
Have those in my inventory, but strangely enough i rarely use them if my opponent is not Borg or Elachi.

No, I didn't say I disliked automatic weapons. I said I didn't want "heavy weapons". Carbines are small, light weapons (at least in real life they are). Mini-guns and blast assault rifles are pretty heavy guns in comparison. Unfortunately, the "Omega Force Carbine" is not available to all my toons since some were created after DR was released and I have not geared up my ships for Advanced STFs yet. I kinda got a little disillusioned with what Cryptic has done to STFs.
I have the Fed type 3 Phase Rifle on some of my toons already and I intend on upgrading them to Mk XIV. The CRM 200 is nice, but it is limited to one per toon.
For the moment I do not have much Lobi Crystals since I do not open lockboxes very often and I prefer to reserve them for starships. And since I am not in a Fleet, fleet weapons are not an option. Therefore, at the moment I am only looking to purchase weapons from the Exchange.
I tried using the Zefram Cochrane Shotgun, but I didn't like very much and I got rid of it on all my toons so that I does not take up an inventory slot. I suppose it is a devastating weapon at pointblank, but I don't shoot my enemies at pointblank range. It seems even when you are only a short distance away from your enemies that shotgun only shoots birdshot. Now if there was an option to load that weapon with shotgun slugs... well that would be a different story...
Are you in a fleet? Because if you are you can aquire advanced fleet ground weapons at T3 starbase, and elite fleet phaser ground weapons (they're quite good in fact) at T4 starbase. The only thing is you have to be at a certain fleet rank to buy these items, so start contributing to your fleet!

Nope, not in a fleet and have no interest in joining one at this point in time. I am only interested in ground weapons that can be purchased from the Exchange.
Comments
Currently my favourite is Relativity_Self_Targeting_Rifle which i have upgraded.
Federation_Type_3_Phaser_Rifle
Elachi_Crescent_Cannon_Pistol
and the Xindi weapons.
Depending on the map i also use the CRM_200 and Synchronic_Proton_Distortion_Prototype_Rifle.

While the purple versions are no longer purchasable through the C-store, lower level version can be bought at certain vendors and easily upgraded.

I have upgraded it to Mk XI so far and plan to upgrade it further. Even at Mk XI though, it SHREDS most anything I encounter on the ground.
That said, my character is speced for ground so that definitely helps
I keep the Shotgun handy for close encounters (with Borg)
You'd be better served grabbing one of the many CritDx3 weps on the exchange that are inexpensive.
Also, pop for a Tr-116b. Muy importante.
