Disconnecting multiple times to night. Look like there will be another Server crash soon.

I don't think it's just STO or just Cryptic's/PWE's network that's the problem (at least on this occasion). We've been having connection issues with more than just this game (other games, Facebook, YouTube, Netflix, internet in general, etc.) and it's been since the most recent wave of cold weather. I'm betting a network or hub (or multiples of them) are feeling the effects of these last weeks of winter.

    Still, keep feeding those hamsters!

3 times for me tonight, and I've rarely had this problem in the past.

Other websites have no page errors so it's unlikely that this is my ISP.

I am a new player, found the game and was excited because I am a Star Trek fan. I thought initially my disconnects, lagging and rubberbanding was a problem with my connection. Then I found the forums and realized that not only was it a norm among many players but in addition, what I thought were random glitches, are actually normal bugs that are part of the status quo.

I'm sorry but even as a Star Trek fan, a gamer and a fairly patient dude... as a new player...I have seen absolutely no reason to buy Zen...especially if I can't even use properly what I would be paying for. I am deleting the game and I hope for those who actually have lots of time and money invested in the game things get better for you.

This has been happening since the anniversary event started. With a serious problem not being mentioned, acknowledged or addressed in any way, I'm not expecting anything to be fixed.

Recently, when it crashes, I just stop playing and do other things. Much less frustrating that way. Cryptic doesn't seem to mind, so it's all good.

I am starting to suspect server load was improperly anticipated and planned for for the anniversary event, and that it was not taken into account just how much more the load would be from increased player count, more dynamic objects on the map, FAR more interact requests, etc...

Heck, remember that even DOFFing too quickly has been known in the past to be the cause of DC's.

And top that off with a script that we know is executing when any former members return, to redo their BOFFs into the new system (though THAT number has reduced and we know Cryptic has done some rework on said script)...and yeah, put all this together with what seems to be a severely understaffed QA staff and excessive focus on rushing into the production environment without adequate bug and stress testing...and yeah, that's a recipe for disaster. :(

I'd like to hope that as we start to see projects spearheaded by the new EP (which this one wasn't), that things may begin a turnaround. We'll see though...it may take months to know anything depending on how much stuff is still in the pipeline that cannot be changed.

they dont need to restart server, they need to FIRE managment responsible for mainating that server.
since im realy sure it is becase crytick simply dont want to spend more money than just bare minimum on servers, and not only login ones.

One can only hope lessons are learned from the troubles with the anniversary event and NOT repeated with the start of the summer one.

The game is a completely unplayable POS right about now. Sadly after 4 years of playing, I had to say that. It just is - a completely broken POS :(.....may sound rough, but there's really no other description about it. Today I can't even go 10 minutes without being dropped out. In 4 years of playing, I've never seen this game in such a pathetic state. Or any other game I've played for that matter.

Been the same ever since i started playing so i don't think it will change, last time it was this bad was when the released LOR.

Also remember the no visuals on weapons beams ect that went on for ages.

I love the game & keep playing or should i say keep trying to play as it is screwed right up at the mo hoping one day i will log in & hey it all works but :(

I hope PWE get their act together ans resolve the the issue whether it is their network, hardward or both. I am in the USA so it is not just an international issue.

They could do with fixing the god damn disappearing boffs from their stations....
If you've come to the forums to complain about the AFK system, it's known to be bugged at the moment.

Yeah, that does need to be fixed. I have ran into that issue a few times myself.
