i can only assume, by the amount of **** per second that is happening in this game, that devs and programmers from USA deliberately try to get rid of their jobs so they can welfare.
this is just not in any kind acceptable. this lag is here since DR launch, space has become unplayable, even when you are solo on a map.
i know lags pretty wel lfrom wow - they happened when 40 people were in one raid and all pushing 300macros per second, while the whole environment was flickering like hell with particles and effects.
but im solo in argala and i cant kill one single ship because my dps gets lagged down to 105 of its potential cause nothing is working or reacting, BESIDES takeing dmg of course.
i think its really time to get rid of those programmers, that i cannot even imagine how they got their jobs. was the only condition of getting hired beeing able to breathe regularly?
i also must say that these HORRIBLE lags always and only happen AFTER "stability" maintenances, that 150% do the opposite of what may intended. they reduce server stability quite effectively to zero.
with all that bugs, miscommunication and whatelse i can only assume that those people really have a hard try getting fired on purpose.
I have no UI lag at all--but then I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Rendering lag? Command execution lag? If you're alone in Argala and lagging the problem isn't the game. It's your connection or your computer. Checked the performance of your hard drive lately? Open the Event Viewer--you might be getting HDD warnings and not know it. (I can already tell that your shift key is mostly broken, as is the apostrophe key. There could be other things wrong.)
You haven't mentioned anything about your computer hardware in terms of CPU, memory, video card, or internet connection, so how would one form an opinion on what the issue might be?
But hey, sure, blame the programmers, because that's easier than actually checking to make sure your local environment is working at 100% efficiency.

you can be snide to the OP but honestly, in game there are many people saying the same thing.
One guy is more or less alone in a ground base and getting a slide show. So really, either a lot of people have had some kind of computer issue all at the same time or its gotten worse for many people lately
Im in the UK & its got worst since today's patch, not sure how to put it but press fire & count to three then they work that's if they are not blacked out, every thing is sort of delayed & jerky.
Started with the anniversary event so i hope it stops when the event finishes.
Got friends in Germany that haven't been on line since before Xmas because they cant stay connected for more than 10 min.

Give me a break. When you have time to get off your high horse try activating a power, then you'll see what he means by UI lag. Or maybe you "won't" because you live in some fairytale happy perfect land, in which case please send me an invitation.

Actually, you need to get off your high horse here...

These two lines suggest this may indeed be a problem at the OP's end... I'm not saying it is, only that it is possible...
Lag issues have only been a factor from the server's end since the start of the Anniversary event, not since the release of Delta Rising as a whole and, for the most part, lasted only a few days... There is some residual lag in especially busy zones (ESD etc), but solo maps should have settled right down... If the OP has had lag since DR dropped, there is something else possibly causing this, along with their increased lag after maintenance...
The UI issues that many were experiencing should have been resolved with recent patching - I know I noticed a significant improvement in UI response...
Though the tone in which it was said could have been better, there is indeed every possibility that the problem here may not be the server at all...
I'm running an Alienware dual quad, 32 gigs RAM, water cooled, 7200rpm HDs (6), 10/10 DEDICATED connection and I just logged due to lag I got all new tonight. I even ran a speed test before logging to see if it was a connection issue. Nope, that's not it.
Wanna tell me it's my junk computer?
Now, let's think about the engine. You know the one, the same one I made posts about in beta and the fact they keep increasing the number of NPCs/particle affects to further show it's problems.
It's kinda funny how many people are posting similar issues yet there is still a group who calls out "it's the user's end".
You know people will not stop macroing the game. It's not a fun mechanic to manage a ship with X, Y and Z movement and have to play click monkey with all these damn one off abilities. Most of them should be an on/off toggle design with a few clickable abilities. That is to say, start merging some of these stupid little self buffs.
Like the OP, I too sometimes wonder....how the F*** did these guys get hired and better yet, stay employed??
And if anyone bothered to check the OP's post history, he's never made a single complaint about having lag issues since DR launched until the 5th anniversary event started and even then his very first post about lag was this
No complaints about having lag since DR launched in that post...
So, having a bad day and prone to exaggeration then....
The UI delay was acknowledged as a bug, and "fixed" on tribble. Some UI elements were fixed, but even in the test thread it was being reported and vaguely acknowledged as an incomplete/inconsistent fix.

Don't even bother.
They'll just tell you you've got some sort of bad driver.
Though anything Alienware instantly makes me suspicious. You're literally just paying for a label, and parts or configurations Dell may not normally offer with their own line of desktops/notebooks.

I've been getting hit pretty good by the UI lag. It definitely flairs more during heavy combat, but it's some times there just relaxed as well. Between this and the plethora of other issues piling up, this game is definitely becoming less playable. It's already lost a lot of the fun, but in the literal sense, this game is becoming less playable as it goes. Something needs to be done other than ignoring the issues.
I've had this issue at some time after first joining the game. Not sure if it happened suddenly or gradually, but it's been a constant annoyance for months on end. I always assumed that's how the game is for everyone, UI console click lag/failure.
Then all of a sudden, with no change to my hardware or software except for one GPU driver update (which made no difference), a few patches ago it was resolved, in the sense of only having a few milisecond to a second lag but mostly guaranteed activation. I've only ever deleted the game once to do a clean reinstall but again that also made no difference.
So whatever it is is part of the game and it affects people differently, since as it was finally fixed for me (you can imagine my surprise and joy that's still ongoing every time I use my console abilities:D) others in my fleet report UI lag, which is what made me realized they've never been lagged as bad as I've been and no wonder my response times for any mission and subsequent performance was very sub-par.
As I experience it, lag is partly map-dependent, and partly population-dependent. The tray lag seems to be about the same in both cases, which is mission-threatening in many cases, because I can't activate my heals fast enough to counter incoming damage.
The Ocampa freighter mission map in the Delta quadrant is the worst I have ever seen in any game, and only existed since DR. I'm talking about a single-player mission where my framerate drops to the kind of motion seen in motion pictures from the 1920's.
The UI for the Omega particle min-game is very susceptible to lag when the current map is crowded with players, similar to most of the social zones' rubberbanding lag. If I can get a mini-game going with only a few players nearby, there is still some lag between the moment I complete a particle & the moment the particle stream speed increase happens. During these "transition" seconds, the cursor will hardly move, irrespective of local player population.
It's all too easy to dismiss multiple reports of UI lag by many players, but these should point to a larger problem with processor usage and bandwidth than they have garnered so far...:(

EDIT: Now I didn't blame his hardware, only impugned it? By saying it's overpriced? I didn't even say it was bad, or that it's incorrectly configured.
Why is everything "OP's post history?" Who actually checks post histories with any frequency? Well, besides possibly mods, I imagine.
