Just an opinion about the Command officer spec

Just an opinion. The command officer spec tree should be allowed to be activated in addition to the intel and commando one for added benefits in ground ops. Either that or combined into the intelligence spec tree.

I think you didn't really get the system. The whole point of the "1 primary and 1 secondary spec active at a time"-restriction is that people won't be ridiculously overpowered once they reach the "level cap".

Intel and command were just the start now, cryptic often stated that they plan to implement several specs over time. It's supposed to give a variety of options where whe have to decide on what benefits of what spec we want to play with at any given time. And not to just push powercreep to infinity and beyond by having everything atcive at the same time.

No to more than 1 main/sec. specilization active at a time.
I would like to see that if you filled 1 main and or 1 secondary specilization the next main and or secondary will cost you half of the XP to get specilization points. So that after you grinded 1 tree its not all wasted if you want to use a other specilization.

I doubt devs will ever do that since it will be too much. But for combining them, I like to use command officer and commando on ground maps, and intel officer and pilot for space.
The commando spec and command officer seems to synergize well. Like that skill adds the extra 20% HP from commando also stacks with extra hp from command officer.

The point of Command Spec is buffing the team. So - no - it shouldn't be usable at the same time as Intel. 4 Intel + 1 Command is superior to 5 Intel. Command is a buff/debuff spec. It makes everyone else better - not so much as 'improving the user'.

There's power creep and then there's power blitzkrieg.

Allowing every spec tree at once would be the latter.
This is my Risian Corvette. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I'd rather they allow us to select a secondary for ground and space. Some specs are ground only, others space only, so either way picking one handicaps you somehow.

    Yeah, I'd like that.

    Primary Spec:
    Secondary Ground:
    Secondary Space:

Because whenever I swap between Commando and Pilot it completely fubars my skill bars.

Now one that was mentioned in the tribble discussion however was something far more interesting if it could be implemented. I forget which dev brought it up but essentially it would change it so that you can select any 2 specializations as primary and secondary. So Still limited to 2 spec trees but say you wanted to make intel primary and command officer secondary, you would ONLY have access up to level 2 abilities in that tree if its a secondary. it would provide a much great variety of abilities especially when they did start off by saying that a secondary specialization could become a primary at some point.

I could see being able to use a primary specialization as a secondary specialization. So you could have Intelligence as your primary and Command as your secondary, but only the first two levels are available for Command.
