Is it time for Cryptic to relent on the T5U to T6 stance?

That's very true. I think that's why the Command ships - especially the Republic's, and the Feds' too - were received very well.

Sorry no. The Fed ships are fugly. I would never buy one sinply because of the way it looks. The Fed ships too a right turn a couple of years ago. The Oddy came out then every design after that was terrible. I wont fly one ship simply because I refuse to have tail fins.

The early designs are actually better than anything they have released lately.

I would rather just have T6 versions of the early level ships than anything this design team would come up with.

personally I have hit a point in the game where I am sick of alien ships

The only thing getting me off my money are the star trek ships I like, Mainly the iconic ships like

The Galaxy class ,The excelsior ,The Nebula , The Kavort and a few others
    Jellico....Engineer ground.....Da'val Romulan space Sci
Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac
    Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng

JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse

Oddy and Schimitar T6 within six months? Any bets?

I'd bet on Fleet T6 upgrades before that happens.

The concept of T6 Fleet ships has oddly disappeared from the radar .

... like totally disappeared , to be replaced with one quick money making scheme after the other ...

Let's be clear: a solid majority of people, all things being equal - would prefer a more cannon design to a cryptic design if performance was identical.

that said, I would pay real money to have a T6 Patrol Escort with interchangeable skins, etc. I love that ship and would love for it to have a cool trait and powers.

In fact, I think EVERY ship (outside of Mirror) should have a trait of some sort, just the higher tier ones should be higher-level version or simply more powerful.
I like canon designs, I like non-canon designs. It depends on the specific design. FOr example, I loved the idea of a Tier 5 Stargazer, but not because I like the Stargazer design - but the Cryptic Stargazer variants allow some cool combos!

I find it a bit boring overall to limit myself t just a canon design. I think the only exception I really make is for the Defiant, though the Sao Paulo is so close to the original that it works just as well, and I tend to still mix and match between Defiant and Sao Paulo.

I like the kitbash functionality in STO.

For me the ideal Tier 6 ship is one based on a pre-existing lower tier ship that adds a new costume and the Tier 6 bells and whistles.

I'm sticking with my Fleet Avenger. If they make a T6 upgrade path or a straight purchase T6 I'll jump, but I'm not going to move to any other ship design. I don't do enough combat, other than the occasional pug, for a small percentage dmg/res increase to matter enough to swap to something I don't prefer. The FA reminds me of a '57 Chevy with the fins reversed. It's a classic. Now if they would just put a Sonic Drive-In at ESD so I can pull up and order my chili-cheesedog.

    So Much THIS.

You Sir, say 57' Chevy; I say 1963 Corvette Sting Ray Coupe
    .

Both beautifully awesome 1950's era automobiles.

I especially like the "metallic sheen" look from the Adapted MACO set - that the set's stats suit my playstyle is just icing on the cake. :)

Just give the option to NOT have: a Starship mastery trait; NO hybrid Boff seating or any further stat increases.

All I need/want is: A dedicated Dual fwd/aft Torpedo Launcher (in addition to the current 5 fwd/3 aft weapon slots); the LtCmdr Tac seat promoted to Cmdr & the Lt Universal seat promoted to LtCmdr; and +1 Tac console & +1 Sci console slots.

For this I would pay an additional 1500 Zen to the already 2500 Zen spent on C-store ship for the VATA console, the 500 Zen for the FSM & the 500 Zen for the T-5U upgrade token.

That's a TOTAL of 5000 Zen ($50.00 USD) I would spend to fully "trick out/pimp" my ride. :D
