Since Officer Training has been lumped into R&D, was consideration given to Officer Training having it's own dedicated slot, separate from the main R&D schools, so that the training of Bridge Officers did not clash with other R&D tasks?
I personally have no issue with the new approach, short of this one little clash with existing R&D projects...
Why? Just make enough padd's to retrain a small army (two slots for about 10 hours) then keep one slot free for upgrading the padd's as needed...

Officer training school doesn't have its own slot as to "push" the players to use the "finish now" button.
Otherwise, the time gate wouldn't be that annoying, and that's exactly why it interferes with your dailies/craft.

Especially since now, Boffs remember every skill they ever learned; no need for recrafting
Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.
