Just reread particle scan notes in update, doesn't mention any change to setting quantity in R&D system when making silver/shard/fragments, But so far am unable to set higher than a single shard when I have enough silvers to make more than 1 at a time.
AkA: unable to change quantity to produce from 1 at a time. I can open the option to set 5, but it stays at a single Shard, and time to finish still says just 1 hour.
Same thing happening to me and practically to everybody. Hopefully they will fix it on the next patch.

This is a definite bug. Annoying to go down, scan a particle, and have it not count.
Have you tried looking for the particle behind the ferengi because that works, though you have to wait for it to appear or change instances until you find it there.

I still can't pick up the the mission at all. I know I'm not the only one that this applies to. Is there any plan to fix this bug, or are we going to be stonewalled until the event runs out and all the time, effort and Lobi crystal that I've invested is wasted.
Omega minigame is getting more and more unstable. It keeps stopping early and today its getting worse than usual, almost 1 in every 4 is bugged. I got a few today that stopped with a ludicrous number (I seen both positive and negative numbers) where leftover seconds are supposed to be counting down and the only thing left to do is close box with x in upper left.
Also the rare and very rare material given is real low, I would say too low. for 2 days I haven't got a single one, I got enough slivers each day to make 5 omega tech (traces are left over to be processed later), I'll do the math, zero plus zero, carry the zero, than yep thats 0%........ And that's not because I suck at the game, I always do over 2k now except when distracted, sudden game lag or game finishing early.

Defera Ground not functional for the stabilization daily. Gives particles, but does not register in the mission. Done twice, two different molecules, no dice. This is getting HIGHLY ANNOYING!
One of the locations on Defera ground doesn't count toward the daily, but the others seem to work fine. Instance hop until you find one where it's in a different area. (Top left on the map seems to be the faulty location.)

I had the anniversary daily uncompleted (the Earth space dock space particles were bugged) before the last update. After the update it disappeared and Q no longer has the mission, it's a problem...
I don't know, if this has been mentioned before, but I just got the Omega Daily Objective to go to Sherman System (space). This system, however, is not part of the galaxy map. Instead it should - for clarity's sake - rather say 'Deep Space K-7', because that's where the objective has to be completed.

Still cannot get it to register completed particles in ESD or Defara. Now when I drop the mission, I get the same one over and over. Two days now and I cannot get my reward.

I have not received any silver rewards at all. So for me at least there is 0% chance of getting anything R&D related out of it.

As I mentioned I am not getting any blues. I am a Klingon and run my dailies.
Yesterday I did about 30 particles and got 2 reds and 2 yellows and the rest single reds out of all of them.
I went to my 3 Q assigned sectors and still did not get a blue to drop. I will go to Wolf359 or vulcan or andoria, if I can today and see if I can get some to drop.

Okay so no go for the federations sectors, not a marauder yet.
It was very helpful to learn each color comes from a sector.
I finally was able to go to New Romulas as a KDF player and get some blue ones to drop.
It did not help that the servers were down for almost 8 hours today because of maintenance or that the blue ones for the KDF happen to be on the Romulan Home World where there were 50 people waiting for the one Omega Particle to reappear over and over and over again.

The colour of the particles depends on what zone you are in.
Blues can be found at Wolf 359, Vulcan, and Andoria if you're a Federation character.
If you run the Q Daily, it takes you to one zone of each colour. The daily won't complete if you don't scan one in each zone, so you should get your blues...
Yup, I see all these patches since the Anniversary event went live have done nothing to prevent the game from ending early. I click on the 'Begin Game' button and more than half the time the game ends before I even reach 100 points. Usually when it ends early like this, it's near instant and I wind up with 0 points, sometimes 5 points.
Please, for the love of *insert appropriate deity*, fix this! You want me to grind? Fine, make it at least fun to do for crying out loud, make it rewarding.
Oh, and one more thing, Defara ground still won't count particles there, so kinda hard to actually finish the daily when you keep getting Defara (ground).

the particles look blue but im getting a red,
some don't have particles just empty text that say its a particle
