So far I can't get credit for completing the Omega mini-game in either SOL space or Bajor space. Dropping the mission and trying to get new areas keeps landing me with one of these areas. Please look into this.
Been there, still no particles. I really hope you gonna extend the event.
This is kind of the worst tested upgrade we got. Event minigame not working correct, Science Destroyers broken, dust to dust without the tanks. I wonder if anything in the last content update works as intended.
Went to ESD, picked up the daily molecule scanning from Q. Went to the first stop on the list (Vulcan ground), beamed down, got disconnected from the server.
When I got back online, I was still on Vulcan, but the mission was gone from my missions list. My tricorder didn't detect any anomalies, either. Went back to Q to pick-up the mission again, it's totally gone. Not on cooldown, it's just no longer an option from Q. It's not in my "In Progress" tab in the mission journal either.
Can't drop the mission and start over, can't complete the mission.

Did you try changing maps?
Also, just so the Devs can see what some of us are seeing in regards to the Bajor map...
Ya Bajor space still have no trace of Omega particules. And last time I got the space outside Earth Spacedock, there was plenty, but they just didn't count for the Q mission. I don't know, but they should done something stable and fun for the anniversary and take time to stabilize the rest and introduce it after! I beginning to be really bored of all the bugs that never get fixed and there is always plenty of new ones with new major updates! I seriously searching for another game.
Even though I have it done it never shows up. I've tried changes instances and that doesn't work either.
The Bajor particles are inside the mission "Crack in the Mirror". The mission doesn't unlock the particles. Cryptic forgot to exclude mission maps from their randomiser.
I would like at least one particle from wasting my time scanning the Omegas. When is this issue going to be fixed? I can deal with it ending after I scan one piece, and I can deal with getting different particles from the same score (1600+ for example) It's sometimes Silver, sometimes RYB, I can deal with having to replay Crack in the Mirror and warping to Bajor VII to scan, but cmon! At least give me one particle for my efforts. Not that it matters as the Omega Upgrades don't even work as intended....I know, they are working on it.
It's difficult to soar with the Eagles when you are surrounded by Turkeys.
I am unable to complete the mission in the Earth SPacedock SPace area. I get a score and have collected over 20 omega traces but the mission tracker says it's not complete and keeps showing.
This has put me behind with all of my fed characters, since I cannot even colllect 40 of the qmendations because the mission will not finish.
I really love this game and hate to be negative, but this is a huge let down. I have limited time and limited windows in which I can play and unless you all extend the event or do something to compensate this set back, it means I end up rushing and grinding at the tail end of this and that kind of stuff takes all the joy out playing at all.
I went through the same thing with the Winter event because of the issues over it not acknowledging that I had already unlocked this ship or that. SO I ended up grinding on all my toons just to make sure I got the ship cause I didn't know if or when the glitch would be fixed.
Finally, since I've gone this far, it's this kind of stuff that caused me to stop my paid subscription and discourages me from investing in the lifetime subscription. I'm just a 51 year old old TRIBBLE on disability and this is one of the few things that brings me some joy while I am housebound, so I would REALLY love it if this kind of thing wasn't such a regular issue but I think I'd have a better chance of winning a free sub in one of your giveaways.
I'm done. I do love the game. I hope this is resolved soon.
At least you guys have a chance to get something better out of the minigame. For me and a lot of others the theoretical maximum score is about 1400, a good average being 800.
Not because I suck at the game, but because it skips ahead in time once the speed increases, not even displaying half of the molecules.
The area doesn't matter, I tested it all alone on the "Cracked Mirror" map with no change.
So all I can do is start the game and not play at all, take my coloured trace and say "thank you".
Be grateful for all the slivers+ you get, there is always someone worse off than you.

For the ESD space particles, try going to the academy. Don't ask why or how, but some of the particles at the academy seem to be counting for the ESD space daily.
I've used the one near the burning memorial (and professor meyer),
and know people that have used the one behind Lt Ferra's building (but haven't used it myself)

I'm lost on this. I can't score over 600. I didn't know you COULD. I haven't gotten ANY 'silver' . The molecules seem to skip or jump/reset when you destroy one and the pace changes. I just assumed that was the wasy it was supposed to be. So there's even more stuff I am not getting?!?!?!?!?!?
I swear, sometimes playing this game is like trying to write a book on a typewriter that idrops the e's and t's. It's annoying and just sucks all the fun out of playing.:(
When you fix Bajor space, could you perhaps leave the omega particles in "Crack in the Mirror?" Only place we can really go and not have tons of other players causing lag issues with the mini-game.

So far, those are the only 2 locations on the academy I've found that count towards Sol System space. I've scanned particles in other locations at the academy and they didn't register for completion of Sol space.

I get the same, I think some of it is due to the lag issue. I'm clicking and it doesn't register fast enough to collect the particle.
I've been getting INFINITE timers in the middle of a Omega minigame.
Got a few times during the past day. It's random.
In the middle of a game, all molecules suddenly disappear, the timer that is about to zero becomes something insane like 1 day remaining. Then I have to manually close the window. No reward is given.
1 If too many players farm in the same instance, lag become an issue to successfully get a high score.
2 In places where its laggy, minigame will often stop immediatly or before full duration. You still get trace.
3 In laggy places game will sometimes either stop and start counting with a large negative number or get to or about zero and go into a negative count going -1, -2, -3, and so on. Minigame must be close the with X at top right nothing is awarded
4 I noticed that if you harvest too many times from same harvest points respawning over and over, minigame will bug out by either stopping game prematurely and awarding trace or go into negative countdown and award nothing. Will not do it everytime, changing harvest points will fix issue but may reappear if you come back to original harvest point too soon.
Now for more of a positive feedback on minigame. I do it with my mouse, I am getting quite good at it and so far I got many perfect scores, 2600, and consistently get over 2k. I like the way game gives out more slivers, shards and even fragments for consistently posting high score, makes the whole omega thing less of a drag. The only thing I would suggest, give automatically a sliver or better when you get a perfect score.
And finally, if you want to post high score you need an instance with few players in it, from my own experience, 20 or less. Lag becomes manageable to nonexistent and helps greatly to post high score. The last part is practice and sharp reflexes.
PS : With high scores I get as many if not more sliver and up than traces, It pays to play game well.

I am unable to begin this mission with one of my characters. It is not in progress, but Q does not have it under his available quests. With another one of my characters, I have played the minigame at all 3 locations, it has registered I played the minigame, but it will not let me turn the quest in for completion.

I've been told that if you grab the omega by the Valentine Memorial at SFA, that will count for the ESD space.
not getting credit for the mission. there's plenty of particles.
Confirmed. It works. Thanks for the heads up.

Some Players don't have the level for it.

I did some research and found that you have to have completed the "Crack in the Mirror" mission in order for it to appear.

which was what my post was saying. I completed it and the Omega Particles still don't spawn.
You spelt "let's make an official thread to track this problem and then ignore it" right.
