Beside RP, some dailies and the first tier of the game, ships like the constitution cruiser have no real use in the game.
It was clearly stated (and we will not re-debate this here) that we will never saw an endgame version of those ships.
A way that we can put those ships in good use and also for all the TOS fans out there is to have TOS space queues for low tier ships (tier 1).
Retrofitting some of the existing queues like the The Vault: Ensnared into Drozana: ensnared, A TOS version of starbase 24 or maybe making totally new ones.
Even for PVP, a TOS version of Ker'rat for tier 1 can be made.
I'm sure we can implement more ideas, what you guys think about it?
I know it will never happen, but I wish They would create an off-shoot of the game that takes place in The Original Series era...
I'd even settle for the JJ-Trek Universe, as long as it included the 1966 version of the Enterprise.

It would be nice if they did a STO version of TOS. They can use ships from the early TOS era to the Connie Refit. This way a few KDF, Romulan ships can be used as well. I got a book that shows variations to the Connie. Like Belknap class, Dread class etc. They had some very nice designs in it.

My fleet did tier 1 PVP events once and I brought a TOS Connie once and another time the Miranda. I never had that much fun before or again in PVP as it actually required strategy and tactics rather than just vaping/power-draining your way to victory.
It seems silly though that some ships are allowed at tier 5 despite their age and some aren't. I'm not even talking about ENT are stuff here. D7/K't'inga, Excelsior and Dhelans (the Dhelan is stated to be a 23rd Century design, canon or not) are ok but Connies (either of them), Mirandas and Centaurs (which btw weren't even that old) are not? I can't make heads or tails of this selective system.
The only thing I hope for is that one day we will get another Star Trek game that actually takes place in the 23rd century so this won't be a problem anymore. Either that or the devs and CBS cave in. As unlikely as that is, I would welcome it. It can only make em money I say.
It is easy to have a TOS Space Queue using Fleet ships. Just use the upgraded Fleet Advanced Heavy Cruiser Retrofit, Fleet B'Rel Retrofit, Fleet K't'inga Retrofit, and the Fleet T'Varo Retrofit. Of course, some of these ships are TOS Movies not TOS, but they are close enough. There is also the Andorian Escort and D'Kyr Science Vessel if you want to open it up to Enterprise ships as well.

Buy the Constellation look and that will get you to TOS since that ship came out about that time. Plus the Excelsior came out during ST III. So even that is considered TOS.
Just other ships you can use.

As a hardcore fan of all things Tier 1 I say yes to this. Also as a follow up are there any fleets that run a lot of Tier 1 or Small Craft?
It's been a while, but a group of us from the Ten Forward fleet used to do this almost on a weekly basis when we had a more active member base. It was a lot of fun to do as we restricted what people could use to reflect what we had access to at Tier 1.
It brings back a lot of memories of fun with folks. Was one of the crazier things we used to run on weekends but hasn't seen the light of day in about of year with everyone stepping off to separate paths and obligations.

Already doing that, that's how I can bring myself to play at all.
But none of those are true TOS ships which is what I really want to play, that requires the Connie, the D7, and the T'liss.

No, you have TOS (The Original Serie) and TMP (The Motion Pictures). Not really the same era.
Yes me too I have tons of fun flying my connie and the game need also more TOS skins for low tier ships
How about a Temporal STF that enables you (for that mission only) to use a TOS/TMP ship of your choice?
You warp to a system, get a communication from Drake (Section 31 Dude) and are then sent into the past to defeat a renegade group of Suliban, Na'kuhl, Xindi or even Borg?
That the mods are tired of folks having to report violations of the FCT...
How is talking about using lower tier ships in the game a violation of the FTC?

The whole idea of the FTC is basically to suppress those things important to the players that Cryptic will not tolerate, so in a way thinking that anything to do with TOS must be off limits is part of the mindset, even if it's just about the existing Tier 1 ships.

"Let them eat static!"
In fact, I'd likely spend all my play time in them if they existed.

According to stowiki, the K't'inga is a D7 and I think the Fleet T'Varo Retrofit has a T'liss skin.

The T'Varo doesn't have a T'liss skin. Which means I foolishly wasted my money back when I bought the basic LoR package.
