I figure there are a lot of simple things that could be put in the Zen store for like 200 or 300 Zen that people would buy. Basically, quality of life changes that neither change the game's balance, nor require significant new assets.
So, for example, I would pay zen for this sort of thing just to improve quality of life:
Brig Space Upgrade. We can expand our roster of normal doffs, but being only able to carry 20 prisoners is a real drag. Same thing for passengers, too.
Replicator Efficiency Boost. Upgrade your shipboard replicator to get 50% instead of 40% return.
Rechargeable Hypos/Batteries. Like your normal ones, but unlimited use. There are actually a few legacy batteries on the exchange, but they're no longer available to the public.
High-roller Dabo License. Removes betting limits at the dabo table. Or at least extend them to 100k or something like that, so you can play with actual stakes.
Ship Name Extension. The engine can handle longer ship names (I've seen a few legacy ships with longer-than-normal names), and if you can buy different registration tags, why not a longer name?
So, what kind of quality of life things would you want to see in the zen store? Things you've been like 'I wish I could pay to get that'? I'm sure I haven't covered everything that would be neat to have.
Oh, and preemptively, please take complaints about the game or passive-aggressive swipes elsewhere. This isn't the thread for that.
Prisoners/passengers could use increases. Dabo I'd like 5k or so for betting but not too much more otherwise earning GPL (for it's limited actual use) might be too easy. The ship name extension while probably not needed for me would be nice for some so I would be ok with it being added as well.

I've requested expanded brig space and passenger space in the past and I'd still like it for my heavy doffers. The other ideas I'd never thought of but they would also be quite nice. The sale of rechargeable consumables might also be a good workaround fix for consumables that always unslot themselves from your power trays when you mix and match new partial stacks into the current stack.
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
1. Full Tal Shiar attire unlock for my Rom-affiliated Aliens/Romulans/Remans.
2a. 3 Faction-specific Mirror Skin + Registry packs, with continuous updates as new faction ships are added, as well, the cost incrementally goes up to reflect additions of new skins, though existing owners save in the long run as they're grandfathered in with each new skin.
2b. Faction-specific Mirror Skin + Registry packs, released in groups instead of being a continuous addition. Special exceptions exist for the ship bundles, which would now include the Mirror skin and registry by default, and is grandfathered in for existing bundle owners (Odysssey, Scimitar, Bortesqu, Dysons, Andorians, Galaxy pack, Intrepid Pack/Pathfinder + Bridge Pack, Vestas, Legacy of Romulus Pack, Delta Rising Pack).
3. More Belts and Shoes/Boots compatible with Orion bottoms, as well as existing compatibility with some attire like the Lobi Korath pack's Boots and Belt.
4. More Rom and KDF attire.
5. More Melee weapon packs; preferably with more ornate designs of existing weapons.
6. Purchasable Delta Tech Upgrades; because I'll be paying Zen and Dil costs anyway, and these would be far more valuable and worthwhile. Make them account-bound if necessary to prevent easy access.
7. Class-change and Species-change Tokens, for those who don't have many alts they can readily make their main due to the alt unfriendly nature of Delta Rising.
8. More unrestricted hairstyles; make them better than what we have available and charge a small unlock fee.
9. Very Rare Intel Officers. Not as good as the Delta Rising Pack's set of Officers, but viable enough.
Oh I forgot to add, more mail slots... I personally use it to transfer free doffs to other toons for the fleet grinder, and a limit of 100 is limiting with 10 (soon to be 12) toons.

Then I'd make everyone tac because of the Dil Vaporizing dps walls.
OP asked and yet you still felt some GRAND NEED to do this. You know what they say about fighting monsters. Loosen up Frank.
Should have been in the game from day 1 as the first and only respec only second to skillpoints.
And you know it
Meh... It would be a useless feature...
It's always been very close to the bottom of My personal list for game additions...
Obviously, in a game where you rely almost exclusively on passive stats, you HAVE to be able to actually change them around
It's elementary
This is what I was talking about. On topic. Account wide versions of character only unlocks.
Not least since everything is now dps with Dil Vaporizing
