First off, not a deception. The system is in place to protect accounts and the game economies.

Second, it does not activate on everyone. It only activates the probation on accounts that hit specific criteria that need to be looked into deeper by the system.

The probation lifts within 7-10 days. While on probation you can still spend your Zen you charged up but the items you purchase are bound to your account. If you wait the 7-10 days then the items you buy will not be bound.

Brand new player here. Before I bought 575 zen, the exchange stated a rate with no restrictions. The moment I bought zen it turned red and prevented me from exchanging and progressing a mission.

Pretty straight forward BAIT and switch tactic. I'm not able to spend the zen. I go back to work in a few days. In the 10-12 days this thread says my restrictions will be lifted - i'll be back to work with next to no play time.

So you defend this ****ing lame system all you want. BUT I'm pretty positive that STO lost at least 1 customer today (me) due to this **** system. All I wanted to spent was enough for 100 dilithium to progress a missiion. WHat is that - less than a penny worth of currency. Yeah I can totally see they needed to protect their system from what clear would be a massive fraud if I cancelled the CC payment with the bank.

Welcome to spending money on STO. As you can see, there is no aparent way(other than spend money) to know if you gona get int the probation system.

This is 100% RP. Let the hate begin.

I can't help but imagine a scenario where I'm standing in line at Bestbuy. Paying for a PS4. Then on my way out of the store, I look across the street and see a bunch of ppl running into a Goodwill. I look at Branflakes standing next to me (just purchased a Xbox1 btw with a bunch of games) laughing. He says "cryptic has a clothing sale, look at'em run. I say " whats so great about a clothing sale. We both just shrug our shoulders. I say "its kinda sad don't you think. He says, yeah but we have to offer everybody a little something. On dec, 26 the real sale begins. I say cool. THE END.

P.S. I expect this thread to be closed at any moment and why does it have 32 replys and only 8 visable to read?

Merry 2 days after Christmas everybody!!!!!!!!!
