Do I just have to add one Arghala run a day to my routine if I want to make any progress?.

since reaching lv60 on sunday I have been taking it easy, don't want to do an awful lot on the run up to the winter event so all I have been doing on my characters is academy, epohh tagging and doff missions.
I am now half way to the next Specialization point on all of my characters just from doing these 3 things for 3 days, so no you don't need to do any Arghala to get Specialization points.

I have been doing all of my doff missions at ESD or Qo'nos so I expect I could have gone a lot further if I had trawled all the sectors for the best doff missions like others have suggested but like I said im taking it easy.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

Doff assignments for leveling? It's like trying to put out a forest fire with a water pistol.

I used to get lots of XP on Doffing before the NERF Part II from 2 weeks ago. Now it is a mighty crawl and virtually useless. Cryptic does KNOW how to kill the fun

Yeah, they killed it. Every time someone says "I've been leveling up just fine from Doff assignments" I have an urge, like a reflex action, to say "Not since the nerf 2 weeks ago you haven't!!!"

What about DOff assignments? It's pretty easy to queue up several every day, and if you crit a few it helps move the bar.

I'm sure I speak for most people when I say, I don't log into an MMO to play a FaceBook game.

SP's are irrelevant until there is an actual choice of specialization trees. Having to choose Intel & choose between space & ground is not specialization, IMO. Until Cryptic does something with the empty shell that they released as "specialization", you're better off just enjoying the game (where you can), and if the points begin to accumulate, fine. Until an alt has accumulated weeks' or months' worth of points, they will be pretty much useless, anyway.

I have 3 characters at level 54, hence 4 spec points, and I haven't even done any of the DR missions yet.

That's playing 1-2 hrs or so a day for the past 3 weeks doing nothing but the Mirror event, DOffing, and some STFs.

Have you you beat, on 30 min to an hour average per day since DR launch having done mirror, some stf's doffing and DR missions, 3 lvl 60's, and 2 lvl 57's. But of course I must be enjoying myself because I am playing wrong, in that I have not deleted or parked all toons but one and am not slamming my skull into Argala over and over again in hopes of leveling with just one toon.

I'm about the same, but I haven't played a map since mirror and stopped doffing about 10 days ago. How? I got most of my marks the first week before the XP nerf.

I guess I am one of the ones waiting to see if they fix this stupid mess.

Honestly I have no idea how folks have gotten more then one toon to 60. Getting the first one to 60 was a terrible leveling experience, and I followed the outlined path exactly. My main has done ever piece of content in sto, most of it with a week of release. After hitting cap I benched all my alts and simply determined that there was no profit in experiencing that again.

I listened to Al's Remarks on P1's Episode 200; and it leads me to ask what is the expect play time to get 1 spec point?

I have logged in everyday for the last week, I get on do the crafting stuff, I finished all the rep, I run a couple elite or advance queue as my fleeties prefer, but despite spending a fair amount of time, I am not progressing through xp bar much at all. I find this very frustrating. Is that working as intended? Do I just have to add one Arghala run a day to my routine if I want to make any progress? I continue to hope the devs will come to their sense and make spec points into the rep system.

One word...virtual CRAWL. I wish I could have exploited XO leveling pre patching of 10/23 when everything turned into a dictatorship theme park. NO FUN allowed here :D
