Cryptic Launcher not loading at all

Hi All--

Weird issue which recently started. Cryptic Launcher doesn't pop up and launch at all. Looking at task manager, I see it running and pegging a core. If i try launching it again, it will launch a new instance and also peg another core. Not sure what's going on, appears to be happening for Neverwinter and Champions also.

Thoughts?

Both STO, Champions and Neverwinter use the same Launcher.. Yours may be corrupt.

Take a look at this thread, and grab a new copy of the latest Launcher... http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=505501

That's the weird part, I tried it and it ran through what looked like 2 updates (window in the top left). Same behavior afterwards though.

Have you tried running the Launcher in 'administrator' mode ?

No joy, tried that earlier as well.

Have you tried rebooting your system in 'Safe Mode' with Network access, then tried running the Launcher

(This is to check if you have 'acquired' something running on your system that is incompatible with the Launcher...)

I think it may be network related. Rebooted in safe mode and tried a whole bunch of things...still no joy. Noticing a few apps are having trouble connectiong (Nvidia driver update, evga update, Arc Launcher, etc).

Oddly enough most things are working and my firewall isn't really restricting much...

If you think the issue may be network related, take a look at this thread, the post the results of the 'Net Test' and 'Path Ping' network diagnostic utilities... http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1192081

Resolved by resetting full network stack and refreshing winsock. Not sure what happened but looks like it's working now.
