Naturally, I don't condone trolling here in STO, but I would venture to say that, looking at some of the players targeted, that perhaps this masked man (or woman) is, perhaps, performing a sort of public service to the community?

People who know me know that I have no problem with a little ribbing here and there. I joke about people and people joke about me. I am alright with that. Not sure what is going on in those chat channels, but this guy is making things really weird in the game for me and my fleetmates. He now has a ship called the IKS I Love Olivia. That's just getting stalker creepy there.

I did a search today and there are no other fleets parodying mine. I am not getting anymore spam invites. Not sure what they did, but it looks like they took care of the issue.
I am quite thankful for this. If any of you are still getting trolled by this person, make sure you let Cryptic know. I hope my persistence has helped all of you. If he comes back and targets me again, I will not hesitate to alert Cryptic again and point to this thread.

It would seem that I to have fallen foul of this douche bag. I've spoken to Saint Olivia about him and she was kind enough to confirm that this guy isn't part of her fleet and has been confirmed by another Saint Olivia fleet member and in game friend. I've but the muppet on my ignore list and submitted a GM/CS ticket. Hopefully they'll be able to put an end to this idiot and his antics
Looks like he is at it again this afternoon. Just in the last 20 minutes or so, I have had two different people accuse my fleet of trolling because of this player. His parody fleets are now having a major impact on my playtime.
I got it sorted out, but this is so annoying. I am having to constantly defend my fleet and members for what this troll is doing when we are in no way associated with him. Some of the messages arte understandably angry.

I do owe Olivia an apology for my PM's earlier. I normally double check the fleet name/spellings before contacting the fleet leader. But that's no excuse and to that extent I am sorry Olivia.
And if Cryptic runs true to form instead of banning the idiot harassing Olivia, they will implement a restriction that only allows Gold players to create fleets. :rolleyes:

That's assuming the frakker actively watches the forums. We have no evidence of that. What we do have, is stacking evidence that he is doing everything in his power to undermine an honest fleet's reputation and harass said fleet's leader.
Basically... it looks to me like he's purposefully trying to discredit or outright destroy that fleet by destroying its reputation. If anyone wanted to join her fleet, and saw this piece of shtako pulling this TRIBBLE, the potential fleet member would look to other fleets. And like olivia211 said, they're having to field complaints about this "member of her fleet" causing chaos in the name of her fleet, when in fact he is not, and that is affecting their ability to play and enjoy the game.
Can we get someone to notify Smirk or someone official at Cryptic to investigate or let us know that its being looked into in some form or another? Because to me, its entirely possible that this jerk will move on to other well known and respected fleets and do the same thing to them once he's done with his current target. And that is not acceptable and shouldn't be tolerated.

I had sent in a GM/report player during a Undine Infiltration the guy (mentioned by Post #43 with handle, as the character name is obviously you know what if you sound it out)... as an alien Engineer blocked off the final room with Cover Shield. And could not kick due to auto-teaming (Can we please get vote kicking or something cryptic?)
Another player told me that someone with your name private/tell him with like smack talk or something during this, and I had mentioned this when I had sent in a GM/report player. The one was still there, so either same person, or he has a friend that both harass people.

I too have fallen victim to this spammer. Warned players in zone that this character was not who they claimed to be and to watch out, then was bombarded with various invites. Seem to have stopped for a while, but we'll see.
If this stops, I may reconsider my decision to not go lifetime.
