Cryptic/Pwe u hate Rom-Kling Sci´s??

antep01antep01 Member Posts: 96 Arc User
With the Incomming T6 Intrepid i get more and more the Feeling Cryptic/Pwe hate Rom and Kling Sci´s.Only Point atm is that i have a 11 Console Slot Ship with my Rom Sci but i need to use a Lobistore Ship to have a Usefull Sci Ship.

Why not Open the Dauntless for all????

Why the Fedaration get 3 New Sci Ships??

While the KDF & SCI do need more ships, making the Dauntless an all-factions ship is not the answer. That sounds so wrong in so many ways.

As some KDF has said before, the full universal bird of preys are a KDF unique feature, the same could be said about the Feds having science as a unique faction feature.

Because aparently no one can utilize the Yugo and Pinto quite as much as the KDF and the RR can.

I certainly agree that the Romulan and Klingon Factions need more ships, but when the guy with the Romulan avatar - who is probably flying a Scimitar - tells me that Cryptic hates Romulans I have to laugh a little. :)
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Scimitar is certainly AWESOME science ship...

I guess you just didn't read OP properly.

They don't want Romulans or Klingons to run science officers, it's very clear to me now. I was a fool for rolling romulan science, it's been nothing but frustration. Their stance on science is very apparent in the ships they release... science is a federation feature, just like Klingon BoPs and Romulan Crit Chance.

Sure would be nice if they proved me wrong. Sure would be nice. But they won't.

I read it properly. But I do not think anyone can say Cryptic "hates" Romulans when they have been given the most powerful ship in the game - as well as the most unique abilities. It is the word "hate" I am taking exception to.

Hopefully more ships, including Sci will come for them. But, it is all about the money.

Did you try ugly rom dyson ships? I think the romulan versions are the best :)

The scimitar is a pretty terrible science vessel, if you're trying to do science. The Dyson destroyer is better than our only other option (fleet ha'nom, or whatever, but that thing is so hideous that it shouldn't even have been let out of R&D), but still a bad science vessel. Everyone I know that is "serious" about science on a romulan character goes with a lockbox ship, myself included.

I'd kill for reskin of the Scryer or the new Intrepid or the Dauntless (which is an alien ship, btw, and would make sense to allow all factions to pilot it, since it wasn't affiliated with any faction but some crazy alien guys in the first place), and it wouldn't cost that much to reskin the ships.

It was just pathetic, simply and fully pathetic that the ROMULANS of all people didn't get a sci ship with T6, simple damned logic would dictate that they would take a Sci ship over an escort Since They Never Used Them Before STO MADE THE GOD SHIPS..

Especially since a Romulan Science vessel exists, and was seen in TNG and Voyager (eye of the needle), and has a special multiphase cloak. It's real... it's cannon... it's got a shiny doodad for Cryptic to sell... WHERE'S MY SCIENCE VESSEL?

I agree that the RRF and KDF needs a wider selection when it comes to science vessels.

Dont think they had the time to dwell into it much. I'm sure they are working in making more KDF/ROMs ships...either that or they just ran out of ideas.

i agree the devs dont hate romulans but for different reasons the scim atar is a suckers ship. i have been blowing them up since the day they came out and nothing has changed since then.

what hte romulans have that proves the devs truly love them is Bridge officer traits. that is what can make or break a romulan toon . all things being pretty much equal across the 3 factions other than the boffs the romulan will outdo the otehrs simply because of the boffs

Klingons also have great bridge officers. Federation gets shafted there, yeah, but crit chance isn't everything.

Roms (and to a lesser degree klinks) not having any decent science vessels that aren't lockbox is inexcusable.

Enough about ships.... where the hell are the decent Intel officers?? Been over a month since release already.
Crazy how they have not been released yet ... I am a lev 60 Admiral, I do not want a 'common' bridge officer and the only other alternative for a Tac/Intel is the Talaxian with a 'non' damage space trait. :(

Seriously... Intel ships without access to 'high level' Intel officers? I know we get a free 'Intel/Sci' boff but my T6 ship has no Intel/Sci slot...

    Crazy

Indeed... the Romulan ship from "The Next Phase" and "Eye of the Needle" would make for an excellent addition to the Romulan selection of ships.

I was so disappointed when it came out and they made the only canon Rom Sci vessel a ... shuttle.
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...
    unfortunately:

    NOT LOYAL ENOUGH!!!

The cryptic devs don't seem to understand that there are paying players in all the factions. they need to give love to all the factions. they would make a lot more money and they would actually have a content/happier playerbase.

You see that's utterly wrong. Yes more Klingon and Romulan ships would make respective players happier but they will always make more money with a Fed ship than they will with a Klingon or Romulan ship. Especially with an updated version of a CANON ship. Cryptic most certantly has its reasons for it. And those reasons involve sales numbers and returns.

I'd love a T'varo size science vessel with a cloak that allows me to sling anomalies while cloaked. .

Not really. Most of us klingon/romulan players have already bought all the zen ships. Hard to spend money on zen if there is nothing left to spend it on. only reason feds buy more is there is always new ships/costumes to spend money on.
