IMHO the account bank has been one of the most useful additions to the game for people with multiple toons. Very early on I bought all of the upgrades, taking the available space from 20 items to 60 items.
As a player with 17 toons I'd love to have a little more space. Cryptic, is there any chance you can increase the number of account bank slots to 100? I'm sure that I'm not the only person who would be more than happy to pay for extra space.
I doubt they will do that. For one thing, people with as many characters as you have are a minority. And secondly, they have less important things to do than listening to their customers.
My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.
Simple, now I can only spend $$$ if they made it 100 slots then I can spend $$$$.
Ok it's probably not as simple as this, it takes code which affects other code and, and, and...

Additional shared bank slots is something I would invest in. I have the shared bank at its current max, and it always seems to fill up with items I want access to on other character.
Account bound consumeables, such as dilithium mine contracts.
Commodities transferring from a fleet with discount commodities vendors to one that dose not.
Contraband
Winter, Summer event non character bound items.
An improvement I would like to see happen but is unlikely to happen probably due to database issues. Is to allow players to put an active(Commissioned) bridge officer in the shared bank so I can train it on another character. Fleet mates are not always around to help train, hold them as I swap chars to one that can train, and sometimes they would help but do not have room. I have also had a couple people prove less than reliable in training bridge officers for free/or nominal fee, run off with my bridge officer.

You reminded me of something. There are more and more account bound items as opposed to character bound items. Whilst this is a very appreciated move by Cryptic it is hard on our banks!!
True, it would put a little more load on the database but I would pay more for subsequent increases than the previous ones.
I wouldn't buy any extra slots, but I am all for the idea. It helps you and others who want more space, it provides income for Cryptic, and it doesn't affect me.
Doff and R&D missions could pull driectly from the account bank ranther than only your inventory/character bank.
Otherwise the account bank is just another method to 'mail' items from one toon to another.
It is expensive to open slots and doesnt do anything the 'free' version doesn't.
I said this when the account bank was first introduced years ago. If the system could pull items direct they could and would have SOLD alot more slots to many more players... You would keep all your R&D materials, all of your various commodities etc and when doing crafting/upgrading/doffing you could pull these items direct from the account bank without the need for withdrawing it into your inventory/own character bank.
But the devs don't listen to the playerbase, as apparently we don't know what we are talking about.
You already can buy more slots. The problem is that you get an abysmal amount of slots for how much you pay. It simply is not worth the Zen you paid.
This 10 times. I thought about buying an extension for the shared storage, but the price is completely crazy.
1000 zen for 10 slots. In LOTRO, for 595 turbine point (=595zen), you have the same. That's 40% less in price !
And about every month you have a reduction in price for it, so it's even cheaper if you can wait a bit !
I'm not going to spend anything on the shared bank with this kind of pricing.

+1 in support of this idea.
