I finally got enough for a t6 ship but am having trouble picking. I really like the trait, console, and general design of the mat'ha but I really don't like the look of the boff layout.

the qib looks like it has a boff layout thats more what I like and it could be fun to play with the intel powers. which I can't do in the mat'ha.

I'm getting the other at some point after my fed and rom got one and I finish getting the rep stuff I to want have, but I still need to pick one for now.

if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

The Qib is a solid ship and surely woth it but the Mat'Ha is pure awesomesauce. Load it with disrupter DHCs or DBBs and stuff dies. The intel skills are pretty limited with only a lt. sci/intel but the praise the ship gets is justified.

And if you really want T6 ships for charatcers across all factions you might want to look at the delta ops pack.

Qib, which I have, is flexible enough to be much like the mogh as it can be a FAW beam boat or a DHC/ Turret killer. The Mat'Ha just begs you to run it as a DHC/ Turret killing machine.
So, it depends heavily on the play style you like or are more comfortable with.

Both the KDF T6 ships are actually very good.

The Raptor is pure firepower with some build flexibility. The console is basically a strong Disruptor CSV. Long has the KDF been asking for a 5 TAC Console Escort, and the new Raptor delivers in spades.

The Qib is an Intel Cruiser. Like the Eclipse, it can be made very, very strong offensively. The trick is using the Cmdr ENG Hybrid Station to supplement the LtCdr TAC station. What you'll then have is a ship that has as much offensive oriented BOFF abilities as an Escort, but have the hull & shield mods of a Cruiser, 8 weapon slots of a Cruiser, and handles as well as the K'T'Inga.

nope. far more damage dealing ability with beams. especially in dr with all the holds & blinds the npcs use.

Apparently, you resisted the temptation to use DHC's on it.

If you are getting intel ships for multiple faction characters you really should consider the Delta Rising Pack consider that buying say a KDF Qib, FED Phantom, and ROM Aelahl will run you 9000 zen for those 3 ships as opposed to 9 ships in DR pack for 12500 zen plus all the other bonus items in the pack.

Personally preference atm is MaHA for the mastery trait and Qib for generally all around fun since it can battlecloak and run beams or cannons depending on what you like atm.

Both are fun to fly so have fun and good hunting. :D

Yeah have to agree here, regardless of any in-game issues at the moment, i still feel that the pack was a good investment if you are likely to grab 3 or 4 of the ships anyways. As for choosing between the 2 KDF ships, that is a tough call as they are both great ships, at a push though id probably go with the Qib as the starter, far more forgiving and open to pretty much any build you can throw on it.

Truth. I started with a DBB "odd" build, and have yet to switch back to DHC. Insane FAW. Just insane.

That, as the maths already showed... if you plan on a KDF T6 ship now (3000 Zen), a Federation and Romulan T6 ship next (3000 and 3000 Zen), and a KDF ship later (3000 Zen)... it'll cost 12000 Zen anyway. Might as well get additional ships, some boffs & doffs, and a few Upgrade Tokens for the extra 500 Zen. Besides, the longer you hold off the more likely they'll add the one or two missing Intel ships for the KDF and Rom.

Oh, who am I kidding, those things are so stealthy we'll never get to see them :P. Wait, that warrants a :( instead...

hmmm your right about the pack

problem is I'm going to have grind most of it and I'm almost out of rep systems I have maybe 3-4k easy zen may be 5 with the MU event assuming the exchange rate holds where it is which with the event isn't likely. I may be able to throw in a little more money in at christmas though... I'll try the long grind see were I am at when I run out of dil then figure out what I'm doing then.

in any case thank you all for the info.

oh and what are the boffs any way.
