Do you guys have already noticed that your ARC launcher isn't able to connect. Have already 3 days the same message "ARC Server has encountered an internal error. Please wait a moment and try logging in again". Lucky that I know how to play STO, whitout using the ARC launcher, but that doesn't mean that everyone knows that.

Uninstall and re-install the ARC launcher.
Cleared my dns cache.
Allowing to accept third party cookies.
Checked if www.arcgames.com is accessable.
Non of these allows me to log into the ARC launcher, nor to log me in on the www.arcgames.com pages. This is tested on the 3 main browsers available. Clearly the issue is at their end.

Standalone installer : doesn't work -> no connection able to the patchserver.
Steam : Surprise, easy install, blistering fast patching.
C'mon, all solutions provided by PWE/Cryptic/ARC are flunking, while a software of an outstander is beating you flat out. Sadly, people who are using steam are getting flagged as fraudulent atm by Cryptic/PWE.
Ask yourself, how does this issue reflects upon you, devs ? You're forcing people to use your systems, which is on it own fine, but they don't work. And when people want to play your games but are forced to seek refuge in a 3rd party software/launcher, you are punishing them if they want to make purchases through that 3rd party system (which has, according my understandings in businesses, an agreement with your company).

the window that pops up & installs new patches and such comes up normally, BUT has nothing in the "news" scroll/crawl & displays this message on the notifications partition:
The website is experiencing technical difficulties. Normal game play is not affected.
