    dont care about doctor who,
but the voyager probe under the deflector proves they love to put references into their schematics.
oh, theres one in the saucer too. :p

but that blue thing doesnt look like a phonebox at all, too far fetched.
but hey, fans of the most silly, boring, nonsensical and cheap series have to look for stuff like that,
cause the series itself is that lackluster.

honestly, dr.who gets no airtime here cause its outright stupid, noone would watch it.

Now, I know that everybody's entitled to their opinions, but that's kinda harsh, don't you think? Supernatural is far worse :P

    And now, the concussion ...

Dr Who: I will now go back in time and prevent things from turning out this way in the first place!

I will use the Tardis to send Spok and a romulan ship into the past to alter history so that DR will have a better outcome!

sorry to say, but i believe that Tardis is only an after image and the real Dr. Who did in fact fail at this mission producing a causality loop

    lol

This! Their ability to outdo their own failures is quite impressive. If only this power could be harnessed for good.

Those inside jokes have been around for a while, though, even used in schematics on the show. The TNG tech manual by the Okuda/Sternbach mentioned a Porsche, a DC-3 and a giant duck hidden in the Enterprise-D MSD.

Which had the unintended side effect of making it a fixed point in space/time.

Also, this means that Jack Harkness is out there running around as well.

    *is giddy*

Actually... ALL of the named Temporal doffs are sci-fi references. SOME are Star Trek refs, but not all. Two are actually a dual reference. DS9 had a pair of time police show up but the time police had names that were a reference to the main characters of X-Files. Then we get doffs similar to the time cops. (Dulmer/Mulder, and Lucsly/Scully)

Verne, Sterling, and Jane are also out of universe references, although Sterling and Jane are literary references.

don't forget the Dr. Martha Jones Doff.. she's a DW companion. and there are other homages too. in one of the Romulan episodes there is a captain who references 24601, which is a reference to Val Jean, the main character in Les Miserables
